  1. I'm not going to be critical of the line up. We all asked for consistency, rothwell and the smallwood/Evans axis breaking up, he did it we won and he has stuck to it. Would be harsh to drop anyone after the last two games. We can't have it both ways. However starting the keeper suggests he is going to stay as back up, another worrying sign, or is he giving Raya a day off and showing some of that loyalty to a guy who needs a break before summer, I e managing the squad. That still doesn't excuse not taking a few of the young lads to stick on the bench. Just travelling down with the first team is good experience. Buckley, Butterworth and magloire should be on that bench today and for the rest of the season. I don't know why he opens his mouth if he has no intentions of doing what he says.
  2. If Tony was the driver most people would get back in the car after he says in his calm reassuring accent he understands the passengers frustration. You get back in the car and he reverses you all the way home with w few more bumps and near misses. He apologizes and they book him again. This time you have kids with you so he is extra careful. He puts the child locks on, seat belt and drives safely round the corner to the Petrol station where he tells the kids to stretch there legs. He forgets all about the kids and drives off. A passer by sees the crying lost child and picks him up. The kid grows up and gets his own car comes back, with a vengance and a baseball bat and destroys Tony's battered Volvo . Or maybe not and I've just started drinking since 11 ?
  3. I think he is waiting until summer then he can buy a bigger tombola
  4. Banged a mercer on a rovers win and darragh to score. I think the sun's gone to my head. COYB
  5. Has anybody mentioned the 90s sensation that was Nathan blake Also djorkaeff, spearing, Chris taylor , Warnock, Kev Davies, and our very own Adam armstrong
  6. I think var will ultimately end up making the right decisions and improve overall ...I just don't like it. If the last minute Sterling goal was onside and city went through then var would have killed the moment. Can you imagine the famous AGUEROOOOW moment being referred to VAR . So whilst it will eventually make the game fairer with more correct decisions I just don't think it's worth it
  7. How did he perform defensively when playing there
  8. Has Rankin Costello been playing at rb this season ? He was always a right winger / number 10 when I've seen him. Quick, slight and a good dribbler. Not saying it's a bad idea. In the modern game I could see him play in the style of Alexander Arnold but I don't know anything about his defensive capabilities. Just wondering have you seen him play there or is it where you think he should play. I.e the way Travis was a rb and has excelled in central midfield
  9. Gk. Raya Rb. Nyambe. Cb. Lenihan Cb. Williams Lb. Bell Cdm. Travis Cdm. Buckley Ram. Rothwell Cm. Dack Lam. Chapman F. Brereton Subs. Magloire, Butterworth for a decent cameo. Bennett to come on to waste time and fist pump the sun burned Lancashire lads n lasses. Didn't include Rodwell as I simply don't think he will be here next season
  10. Sadly I don't think your far off their and the reason I voted go. That's exactly how I see next season going without the good start we had this season
  11. When do the Burnley tickets go on sale and is there a season ticket/1875 first phase. Do people think it will sell out . I wonder how they are going to segregate fans ?
  12. My name's not Gregg either. There is another clue in their somewhere ?
  13. I've just paid 34 pound for me and my 5 yr old daughter who has no interest in football to watch the Bolton game, that's before waggott tax because I did it online. If I had to pay that Everytime I went (as I normally go alone and sit in bburn end) there is no way I could afford to go regularly. I feel for families with partners and a few kids who want to go. I've just paid less than that to go and watch one of the greatest , if not THE greatest games of football I have ever seen in a champions league quarter final. Attendances will always be poor and will get worse when more attractive football at cheaper prices is on offer elsewhere. People can say it devalues the product all they want . It won't fill the stadium or boost attendances until people at ewood get more creative with pricing strategies it's as simple as that. Starting with the waggott tax and offers for families
  14. Buckley for me, is technically ready for first team football and can read a game far better than Evans and Smallwood can
  15. Form we are in we should hammer this lot. Looking forward to it already
  16. If Charlton go up he might sign a new contract. Charlton fought tooth and nail to keep him to the point the risked loosing him on a free so he must have something
  17. So who is playing alongside magloire at the back ? Havent seen the u23s for a while. Has annesly got any game time. How's he been in general. He never seems to play when I check
  18. Out of interest who would you say was the better and how close where they in talent. Is anyone going to come on and say he was better than shearer out of interest . The fact this is even being mentioned means he was some player
  19. If we are signing a keeper we should be going for a number 1. Raya is young and can learn. If he is as good as people think and has the potential he will get his shirt back
  20. For me yes because his tactics and player selection along with his baffling comments and suspect transfer policy/use of funds means he would still kill momentum and stifle progress ultimately leading to the same questions and doubts that haunt him now, regardless of when we won and lost
