I thought we played superb today and it hurts we didn't take the win. Travis is everything we need in the middle. Yes he gives the ball away sometimes but he is very confident for such a young lad. His work rate and effort are exceptional and when he wins the ball back his first thought is how can I start an attack. He was always looking for the forward pass whilst being mature enough to not give away possession in dangerous areas. If anyone should be given the potential tag it's this lad because he has all the signs of becoming a very accomplished midfielder. For such an inexperienced player he isn't afraid to take responsibility. A leader in the making

He jumps away from headers, chases nothing , lazy, effortless, his first touch is appalling, constantly offside and out of position. 7 million or not this lad needs putting in the u23s and to win a place over nuttall there before going on loan before he destroys any potential he has because to put it bluntly he isn't ready for mens football

I said that a few weeks ago. Turns out Bayern have offered 30 million and Chelsea are holding out for 40 even with not much left on his contract. He's a great player. I was being optimistic worh our chances of getting a loan in for him. He destroyed our left back at leyland earlier in the season and has made the step up with ease

I agree. The problem we now have is Tony has handed new contracts out like confetti so we would need to get some off the wage bill. If ,Iike he said, he wants to add quality and have us challenging in the next couple of windows then why has he handed out contracts to players that need replacing. What he says and what he does are so far contrasting it's getting farcical

He shouldn't be on loan. He should be starting in the middle and getting experience. He has all the qualities to make a good player for us at this level. He offers no less than what we already have on the field every week. Get him in the team and let him flourish.

I agree re the Jason Lowe comment and there does need to be an overhaul not just on the card system but what is actually deemed a foul. The amount of penalties I see in the premier league week in week out and then the panel defend the decision after a player " had contact" is ridiculous. Salah got another yesterday. It's becoming impossible to so much as lean into a player and something needs to change before the art of defending is lost. The Smallwood tackle in the modern game, for me, was a red. The game I fell in love with it wasn't a foul.

I don't know how anyone can argue with that red. He flew in and went through sharp and Bennett. No argument to be had. Stupid , unnecessary tackle and red

Gallagher did very well for us the season we went down and was one of very few bright Sparks. I would have him over brereton any day of the week. Whilst I think Gallagher is a good player he isn't what we need right now.

I stand by mowbray did the right thing today regarding the line up. I haven't seen the game so no comment there but players had a chance today and blew it. Whether down to tactics, substitutions, player quality or desire to surrender like that is not acceptable. A loss was virtually inevitable , to lose by that margin something drastic is wrong. The manor we lose is more than worrying and I think the players have to shoulder the blame

Well done Tony. Really happy with that line up. Needed shaking up, players needed a rest and a chance in equal measure. I feared a loss regardless , at least this shakes things up and sends out a message. Regardless of result Tony has done the right thing for me and I will give him no critism for his choices today. I wouldnt complain knowing that we can't get relagated and we where planning and working on next season knowing it would benefit us in the long run. If Tony can't play the way he wants to play and give a kid a couple of games when we are safe at the back end of a season which means little at that point then when can he have the faith in himself and the backing of the fans to try and push us on to the next level

If this is a season of consolidation then let's get the points on board to get to safety. Once this is achieved it is the perfect scenario to see what we have in our academy before the window opens. Give Travis and wharton a decent run of games see if there up to it. Let Ben have an extended run in the first team. Let's use this season to see what we really have and get the young lads in the team or get them out and let the next lads be given a chance. Let's get the ball down And start playing this football that tony wants to play against good opposition in an environment where the players aren't afraid to try things, make mistakes and learn from them. Once safety is achieved Tony will never have a better chance to develop the style he wants to play and will enter the pre season with a better knowledge of what is and isn't needed. What works , what doesn't and what needs improving.
