  1. I went to nearly all away games last season and been to five this season. I get a lad with a season ticket to go down and use his season ticket to get me a ticket and pick it up off him on the day and give him cash so on the database I've been to a handful of home games this calendar year. I suppose they have to work off estimates but I can imagine a few people go down and grab a few tickets on their season ticket for friends etc
  2. Macaully bonne. Plays for leyton orient, 23, top scorer in the national league. Scored 8 in his last 9 games. Tall, quick, good in the air and can use both feet. Being linked to a host of premier league clubs as the next vardy from non league. Never seen him play just what I've heard but must be worth a look and fits into the venky model
  3. I'm with you. If we are ever to progress as a team both should be nowhere near a starting 11. They will tide us over until summer but that is an area that needs strengthening massively. I understand why Tony says we need to build over a few windows when you look at the positions that need strengthening to compete at the top end
  4. Agree . I often think that when I hear him speak.
  5. That's why it's important to get a run of games in your favoured position
  6. Because he's a striker. His strength beating a man with his pace and shooting not crossing. You need wingers for that. Nuttall is terrible.
  7. A manager has played a striker on the wing of a three and he scored one goal in 42 games, lost all his confidence and fans turned after big price tag and high expectations. Sounds very familiar. Thus striker plays as a striker and scores 12 goals in one premier league season and smashes a hatrick last Saturday. I wonder if there is something to learn from all.of this
  8. lamella has played a handful of good games and has only got into the team this season due to spending being muted and still doesn't start regular. Paulinho was awful at Spurs and was shipped out and Erikson is obviously class but is he better than bale. We all know the answer is no. Selling bale made them weaker not stronger They also signed soldado, chiriches, chadli and capoue. I no who I'd rather have in bale and that lot. Erikson salvaged some terrible business
  9. Let's be honest if they have rovers best intentions and seriously want rovers in the premiership and to do well the last thing we need is for them to come back. The last thing we need now is the fan based divided again. If they show up you would get the hostile voters being just that and the forgive and move on lot having ago at the hostile lot. It's our own mini brexit lol. If they don't care stay away and feck off, if they do, then stay away and feck off until we are an established premier league side at the very minimum. we can have another poll to see if we can let you Grace this beautiful northern town without getting snowballed if they manage to get us back to where we where when they found us
  10. I won't be getting rid of my pitch fork anytime soon
  11. I thought whittingham was going to be the best signing of the summer. I really thought he would be the midfielder we were crying out for. A player with Abit of composure and a good range of passing after years of Lowe, akpan and co. Sadly I got that one badly wrong
  12. Yeah can't wait for this. Last time they did a documentary Like this they got relaegated. It's on YouTube and worth a watch if you haven't seen it. It's when they had just been promoted to the prem and Reid was in charge. The year before they moved into the stadium of light. Some fascinating insight. Think (I may be wrong) it's called premier passions
  13. After there big performance in " their " derby Preston back to doing what they do best
  14. It all sounds good in theory until you have to actually replace him. Ask spurs fans when bale got sold
  15. And he has Duffy to help him with his finishing
  16. You would think if dack was going to the prem they are one of the two clubs he would end up at. I could see him going to Brighton also. I think he would be a good fit for them
  17. I only saw the first half as I'm at work and the internet suddenly " went down" ?
  18. Jay Rodriguez just missed an open net from two yards. Wba had three clear as day Chances and blew all of them. Playing some really good football just can't get it in . Been a good game
  19. Yeah but one was only a tap in?
  20. Because at 32 he was deemed good enough to be at the heart of a defense that won the premier league. Because experience in that position is vital Because to have a premier league winner in to help young lads like lenihan develop Because Graham and mulgrew have just been handed new deals at similar ages and are two of our most important players. So Graham as a striker of 33 is ok to get a new deal but at 34 a cb is to old ? I get he hasn't played much, why he doesn't have a club I don't know. Maybe there is a good reason I'm unaware of. If it's just because he's 34 then that isn't a reason not to sign him. Rodwell hadn't played for ages and he's doing ok. We have a top of the range training facility to get him up to speed if it's just match fitness he lacks. He wouldn't be signed for the first 11 anyway but would cover us until the summer
  21. At Wigan mowbrays tactics and line ups were slated and rightly so as was the players effort and attitude as well as individual performances. Yesterday mowbray takes the accolades after selecting a winning team and sorting the dressing room out and the players take the plaudits along with individuals being singled out for praise. Isn't that how it's supposed to work ?
  22. Both would be welcomed with open arms and would really transform the team
  23. That proves it. Like most have said all season get a proper wide man in and we can be a real threat. Leave Armstrong brereton and Graham to compete for the striker role creating good competition for places knowing you don't perform there are two other lads waiting to do a job. Get a winger in who will cross the ball and beat a man a strong centre back and a solid left back and I don't think we would be to far away providing next season we can keep or replace Reed with equally if not better Calibre player. Next season going forward we need to add a centre mid with more dynamism than Smallwood or Evans. Eventually both need phasing out Danny Graham has made it into the brockhall of Fame with his side foot Lazar shots
  24. And that's why you don't drop your best player and biggest goal threat
  25. I think it's safe to say we can Olay olay olay olay Conway conway
