  1. Jermaine Defoe on loan would be a great signing although wages would be an issue. It's extremely unlikely but we can all dream.
  2. I'd guess at an opening offer of five million for Reed and even that could be way under what today's current market would value him as. However I think he should be the number 1 priority. Young , English , versitile and a top player whose value can only increase. All the stops should be out to get this lad signed up. I'd also extend rodwells deal for another 18 months
  3. I suppose what constitutes legend is the real question and one that has been done on here before. It is an over used word in the modern day but what i deem worthy of legendary status might not be how you see it so ultimately it doesn't change a thing. The question seems to me is did dunny waste his career or would you consider his career a waste
  4. In my eyes Dunn is a rovers legend. Was he as talented as Duff, absolutely not but that doesn't take anything away from how good dunny was. I don't believe Dunn fulfilled his potential and could have gone on to greater things. Whether it was hamstrings or hamburgers and beer the fact remains whilst in a rovers shirt he did the business. A career that has a league cup medal, an England cap, European football and ten years in the top division in England , arguably Europe is by no means a waste. To say he could have done more , which I agree with to an extent, shouldn't take away what he actually did. Souness left under a cloud but after all he did for us I'd like to think time heals and he would get the warm reception he deserves. Duff, Dunn, souness are all rovers legends imo
  5. I love dunny. I don't care what happened off the field he was a joy on it. He helped us get promoted, win a trophy and get us into Europe and scored against the dingles. He has spoke to me several times after games and at youth games etc and always had time for me and is a really nice person. Everyone has personal issues whether it be at home or with managers at work etc. He should be judged by what he did on the pitch. Not many players in my lifetime have picked a ball up and beat two or three players and smashed it in the net. He should be celebrated and the fact he is one of our own just makes it even sweeter
  6. I no exactly what you mean. I won't even look at my wife if it's Tuesday ?
  7. I'm not bells biggest fan but I said the same about nyambe. He looked far worse than bell with less potential. He was awful going forward and look at him now. I do think it's too soon to judge. He's new to this level and mowbray seems to have a magic wand
  8. Because the Saturdays I can make it I sit ready hoping my mum turns up in time to babysit from her work. Sometime she's gets back and I dash off from wigan at half past one and sometimes she doesn't get back for me to make it and I have to listen on the radio. I get there at half two and have to pay an extra three quid to watch the same game. I'm sure other people have similar circumstances where they are working and if they finish in time they go down to ewood. Why should circumstance affect the cost of a ticket. In an ideal world I would have a season ticket. With my job and children I can't commit sometimes til literally the last minute. If I'm off and can arrange it I go home, away, u21s anywhere anytime, so why should I be punished . Also the few times I know I can make it I have tried the e ticket thing which is a joke as I have been waiting four months for an email to change my password and as I've explained before don't use phones so if they are going to charge it maybe they should sort there side out. I paid 15 pounds this season so far in surcharges half avoidable if they sorted there email out
  9. I thought England we're excellent and under Southgate play exciting football. I love watching my country again after years of watching because it's England much like rovers under coyle This nations league is exactly what international football needed and I'm all for it. Great stuff. We have a young, exciting side and Southgate is doing a fabulous job.
  10. The surcharge is a joke. Whether it puts off new fans or not it pisses off and unjustly punishes current , loyal fans who have stuck by this club through thick and thin. 25 quid to sit in the Blackburn end against Rotherham a few weeks before Xmas is not cheap to your average person. It should be scrapped and I can't see any valued reason why it should be kept
  11. I miss Barrow name. I would be happy with his signing but I would look at Burke from WBA. On McGinn, I would judge over a full season. Burke would be more expensive than eze or Barrow. Mginn has been a stand out player for villa this season, I'd be surprised if his performances drop to such a level you can question should Scottish players be signed for the championship
  12. We get 20 million for dack I'm confident we could afford mo Barrow. Like you say we don't no what the budget is. If they can spend 7 million on an unproven substitute then who knows what they are or are not willing to shell out Mginn looks the business at villa
  13. I'd like to sign easy e from qpr. Fits the current model. He's young, quick, can hold the ball up and drive on at players. He will also shoot from outside the box. He's got abit of everything. He's still very raw and nowhere near the finished article but he could prove to be a good addition at this level with potential to grow and have a sell on value to the club. Then off to reading to bring mou Barrow back. Cheers tony I saw a striker at Celtic called Eduardo who looks a real player. Only saw him in one game on some extended highlights so maybe the Scottish contingent on this board can confirm if he's decent or tell me I'm talking shite. Don't no how realistic he would be as a target , maybe I'm being to optimistic with that one but I'd still be interested to know what regular spl watchers thought of him
  14. It's the only one I can afford after all the surcharges ?
  15. Who. The gullible .
  16. Surly he plays in the hole
  17. It's the same outcome worded differently
  18. Well that's Bs. I turn up and pay the three quid charge regular and they have all my details on file and send me promotional stuff. They always take your postcode and address whether your a new or an old customer.
  19. I missed the game. Logged on. Suprised at the lack of talk about the game, formations, Rooney's performance etc.
  20. https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/3460875/rangers-colin-hendry-moorgate/ Out of retirement and playing for local.side moorgate.
  21. Give him a few games at u21 and see how he does. There is not a cat in hells chance of Tony promoting an under 18 straight into the first team. If he stands out at that level then put him on the bench as an incentive and tie him down. I don't understand why he hasn't been promoted to u23s if he is so highly thought of. What happened to the lad everton or leicester nicked off us. How's he doing
  22. 30 plus million for dack. Behave yourselves.
  23. A few weeks ago I read that a top flight game between Burnley and Cardiff had the ball in play for a grand total of 40 something minutes. Today, Rotherham came and wasted as much time as possible to the point that it's not a tactic but embarrising. Is it time to review the laws on time wasting and what do people suggest for changes to the game regarding this issue. Something has to be done. It's just not acceptable
  24. I thought that was a thoroughly entertaining if not extremely frustrating afternoon. Rodwell and lenihan were superb all afternoon and compliment each other well. Nyambe also made a big difference and added some balance when he came on. Hopefully he will be starting the next game. I can't work out bell. He just seems to casual. Like he's having a kick about with his mates. I think he needs Abit more urgency about him. Smallwood, excellent. Palmer again, didn't play badly but doesn't seem to blend into to the team. Dack was man marked the whole game but he should be coming to expect this now. Was very ineffective up until Rotherham scored and missed a good chance. Remember form is temporary, class is permanent, so not to worried. Took his goal well and had some dack-esque moments Graham was poor in front of goal again. He really needs to start putting these chances away. Overall play was ok but he should have scored at least one. Rothwell made an impact when he came on and I feel Tony's only mistake today was not making the changes a little earlier. Brereton has the crouch vibe about him. Because of his size he looks clumsy ( I know what I mean ). He provided a good assist and did well when he came on. Adam Armstrong was superb. What a performance and fully deserved his man of the match. His first touch was out of this world all game. And finally, Rotherham. They where well drilled, efficient and worked hard. I can see why alot of teams would struggle against there size and organisation. A couple of decent players to, however the sheer amount of time wasting was an embarrassment to the club, the fans, and sport as a whole. We pay to be entertained. We want to see the ball in play and two teams compete to see who comes out on top. Time wasting from the first kick is a disgrace and something seriously needs to be done about this. Another day we win at a canter but it wasn't meant to be. We learn and we go again COYB
  25. No I gave up my phone years ago. I just have a tablet to go on here and watts app the wife. Life's better without it
