Haha I'm 31 so 2011 was pretty similar except we we're playing premiership football. Just for the record I think it's great that they are doing it. Anything to get more fans through the door is fine by me and if young people benefit then great but I still think your average 20-24 year old is in a better financial position regarding disposable income than people of my age. Me and all my friends at that ages used to do all sorts. You ask any of them now and it's can't mate , skint and I'm no different meanwhile my nieces and nephews of that age can afford to spend there spare income on themselves because they don't have kids and house repairs etc -

I agree between 18-24 is when I had the most expendable cash. I was in full time employment, no kids, and these days most people still live with there parents. Why should a 23 year old get a reduced seat yet people with mortgages , kids etc have to pay full whack when it's people in the 25- 35 starting families and buying homes etc who usually have have to make choices on whether their money can stretch to pay for football after paying out for everything else. Seems odd to me. -
It's hard to disagree with alot of that. I don't think it's only down to the manager though. The majority of the responsibility has to lie with the player once the manager puts them on the pitch. All good strikers should be able to defend from the front and create something for theirselves or team mates. We can't afford passengers
-
I'd say a pretty accurate summary. Can't disagree

The Godlike Genius of Charlie Mulgrew

ARE YOU WATCHING SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY !!!! YOU CAN BANG ANOTHER £20 QUID ON YOUR BID AFTER SEEING THAT -
I'd say it's two men competing for a ball

To be fair Armstrong looked comfortable playing their, more so than Samuel. Whilst I believe he would be far more effective down the middle we have Graham up top and hopefully Bennett in the middle their is no one else to play their who could do a job as well as he could so for the team as a whole can see the logic of playing him their
-
He could toss it off for next few months like Joao did. He's no commitment to Rovers yet you guys seem to fall, for it. Only foolish fans buy into this nonsense. I understand where your coming from to a point. Alot of players come and give minimal effort and only join for self serving reasons but for every joao there is a Sam Gallagher. We've had some fabulous loans over the years. I recall Eyal berkovic and Alan mahon helping us get promoted last time around. He was on loan at Coventry and didn't seem to have commitment issues. By that logic we shouldn't play players in the last 6 month of their contracts if they aren't re signing. He's a young English lad with alot of potential. Lets help him get his career started and I'm sure he will repay us with commitment and goals
-
Can take a decent penalty to by the looks of it. I'm really excited to see him. Got a good feeling about this lad aslong as he is played down the middle and not shunted out wide
-
The progression is getting in the championship with the help of his goals securing more tv money and exposure to attract better players
-
Maybe he wasn't for sale due to his potential and was just sent for valuable game time and experience. He scored a bag full of goals for a poor Coventry team in this league their is no reason he couldn't do it for us with dack slipping a few sexy through balls in. He did well enough to earn two more loan moves to championship clubs. Let's not write him off before he's kicked a ball. I think the lad is exactly what we need up top and a good signing by TM. Im actually quite impressed he pulled it off. Get behind the lad FFS

We've got mulgrew Charlie mulgrew I just don't think you understand He is a Scottish man He's better than zidane We've got Charlie mulgrew

I'm all for trialing it and if successful it can only improve the game. I hope it works but at the same time don't start adding extra reasons to use it so in time it's gradually ends up stop start and endlessly going to the VR. The reasons stated for it's current use should be the only reasons and kept that way. Anyone know why it's being trailed tonight and Wednesday but not for the city game tomorrow ?

I agree . Doyle should be in front of hart in the pecking order. Hart should never have signed. I don't know who he knows but to play at Liverpool even at youth level into his 20s and then get a move here , someone owes someone a favor. Having seen nuttall play u23 and first team football im not sure I would even offer him a contract being honest. Agree with the sentiment though, that we need proper seasoned players and have the young lads around the fringes , coming off the bench etc. Without trying to contradict myself are we not better playing the likes of Tomlinson over Evans and whittingham. If you factor in the wages of Evans and whitts, plus age and how injury prone they are, I'd even question whittinghams desire at times, to a young local lad, on low wages (which would of freed up a decent wage for a winger at the start of the season) Passionate with the potential to grow and improve. The other two don't put in better performances even with all their experience. I suppose TM would be damned if he did damned when he doesn't. Ala nuttall
