That *was* the January Window
Norbert Rassragr replied to Herbie6590's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I think we're trying to reconstruct some sort of hybrid Coventry City team. Hyam, McFadzean, Fleck all played for them. Next we will get Strachan as manager should JDT resign, and sign Cyrus Christie, Jordan Shipley and Tyler Walker. -

I'm half expecting Luca Toni to come out of retirement to sign. -
Venky’s & Waggott Out Protest Ideas
Norbert Rassragr replied to DuffsLeftPeg's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
The happy clappers will not join in to bulk up the numbers. There are too many thickos desperate to be servile wretches for any Reading type of event. Facebook and co. proves that. -

If any people still make excuses for Venkys after all this, they should change their season tickets for Turf Moor or be psychiatrically evaluated. They're either self denying Burnley fans or so devoid of seeing reality they're mad. Making excuses for the Raos and saying they're good as they pay the bills is like being stabbed and saying "well at least I wasn't shot in the head." We will be in the National League before these detestable rats sell the club. -

There will still be morons who'll use the delay in the Wharton deal to say Venkys are great. People are that dense and trusting. -

I'd put money on Wharton being replaced by some crap 20 year old premier league loanee, and some useless twonk from Carlisle. The money will be used to stop needing to go to the Indian court, and we'll be closer to relegation. -

I've never really liked Ryan Reynolds for some reason. The Deadpool movies were mediocre, and I always get a feeling he likes the sound of his own jokes a bit too much. -

If Wharton goes for let's say £20m, we will be lucky to see £2m available for transfers. The money will be used to bypass asking a judge to transfer money. In our hearts we all know this. Better get our maps out and check how to get to Port Vale's ground as we'll be in League 1 this, or next season. -

I expect Gallagher and maybe Sammie to be sold at the last minute, with another last minute panic. Then an O'Brien style cock up. -
The Purgatory or Hope Poll

Administration. Sure we'll probably be scuppered, possibly relegated whenever we get the 10 point deduction, but other clubs have gone through that and recovered e.g. Brighton, Luton, Bournemouth, Leeds, Coventry. We need to get out of this awful situation with delusional happy clappers fans, negligent owners and falling standards. Venkys have crapped all over the club, the town and are vindictively running the club towards the lower leagues. -
I sometimes have a day where I listen to them, The Fall etc.

Clutter on our pavements
Norbert Rassragr replied to 47er's topic in I Can't Believe It's Not Football
It is/was the little silver cans that were all over the ground here. Loads of them, as if Raheem Sterling had a massive party in Foleshill Road. The only really clean area is Earlsdon but that's the really middle class area of Coventry. -

Can't wait to see that 15 year old make his first start......... -
Seneca seem to still exist, but they've probably moved on and invested in different companies after Venky's told them no. I don't think they'd be involved should it all go tits up. If they did want to return, maybe they'd pick up the pieces at a cheaper price if we went into administration or something.

Brian Clough's achievements stand up to all of Pep's. Though the financial playing field was not as imbalanced then, I doubt Pep could take a Burnley or Leeds and instantly get them challenging for the league without spending billions replacing the current squad. -

No thanks. He was mediocre at Coventry City and worse at Brum. That would be a real Wes Brown type of signing. -
What an absolute idiot. My feeling is similar to Gavlar's, and this Nathan guy would fit in well in Airstrip 1. He'd be right there claiming we've never been at war with East Asia and Emmanuel Goldstein is the source of every problem. Essentially we must always assume that people are stupid when it comes to Venky's and their ownership, and are inclined to be happy with less.

Clutter on our pavements

Same in a lot of Coventry. Fag ends, energy drink cans and nitrous oxide canisters all over the pavement in many areas. Sunflower seed shells too. -
You can shaft business partners, but when the HMRC are being short changed then you're in very bad shape. Even The Joker paid his taxes. You would think the threat of a winding up order would be major news in the area but once again so called 'journalists' have been complacent. 8f there is a winding up order, I expect the Raos to simply let us go bust. They've been so negligent and aloof, they would probably not realise if we did do a Bury. Or their arrogance and entitlement would make it go that way out of spite.
