  1. Well that was not fun. Despite throwing the kitchen sink at Rotherham all we could snatch was a point. Well, we cant win the all. For me it was crucial to go into the international break without losing, and that is what we achieved. Sure the players will feel a little dejected not getting all 3 but we are in mix of things sitting comfortably inside the top 10. Thoughts from the gaffa and more.
  2. Final game before ANOTHER international break hoping we can see this one out with another win. Hoping for some goals in this one as the QPR match was very... meh! Could this be the day Big Ben Brereton snatches his first for the club? Get the hoodoo off his back and get on the goal trail into the mad Christmas period. I spoke with Rotherham fan Joy Calladine about Rotherhams chances in this weekends matches and we also have a SOLID prediction from the cat.
  3. Scrappy win. Many of those last year too... just saying! Brereton looking more and more comfortable... not all strikers score goals! Or whatever the saying is! However I know he will. He has the Peter Crouch effect, gangly legs! And up steps Joe Cool aka Dackie Boy for the winner! If I am honest would have taken a point at kick off... against an in form team, fortunately though we have taken all 3.
  4. MONSTER of a point against West Brom last weekend despite all the drama. Hope we dont experience any NIGHTMARES against Queens Park Rangers this weekend. Obviously Smallwood getting all the plaudits after the match due to his SPOOKY reflexes, but how SCARY is Harrison Reed?! If we are honest we probably would have won it had the referee not been a complete DRACULAR and dont get me started on the GHOST penalty that was never given. As for QPR they are red hot at the moment, approach with caution as Steve McClaren has risen this lot from THE DEAD. I spoke with QPR supporter Julie Hampton about her teams chances and she is ver confident.
  5. Well where do we start with that one... First up Big Dickie! What a player... criticized his efforts at time this season but glad he is with us. Big BALLS stepping up to take over from Raya, and he might not offer the skills needed on the pitch (at times) he is a key cog off it. His personality is a major factor within this really close knit group. Next up REEDY BOY! What a goal, what a performance... Is there any chance that we could keep him long term? He has been immense so far but today he was unbelievable... Make it happen Tony. Snatching 4 points from the past 3 games is a nice haul lets get back to winning ways next weekend! LOVE THIS CLUB.
  6. Hot of the press Derby showed us what we need to do this weekend, and hopefully we can get more of the same on Saturday. However it could end up with us getting a spanking, so fingers crossed Mowbray is staying up late and watching some replays of both the Swansea result and WBA's defeat. No visiting supporter for this match, too many lazy buggers! Anyway, match build up and more.
  7. Well that is one NOT for the memory books, but for the garbage bin! Terrible performance, looks like we got the GOOD Swansea City and not the shitty one. Ah well... Rough with the smooth... did I expect a win against Leeds? No, but chuffed that we did. Did I expect a win against a low ranked Swansea City... maybe. So win some lose some. Hoping we see a much improved Rovers this weekend, maybe a few changes needed as 3 games in 8 days can be pretty rough no matter how young or old you are. Rothwell has my vote, maybe Rodwell too. Meanwhile, Swansea City fan Buddy Hill dropped by after the match to give his thoughts, and so did the gaffa Tony Mowbray!
  8. This is a tough one to call.. after Saturdays performance I feel we can beat anyone on any given day, and Swansea are not in the greatest form at the moment. So should we expect another fantastic away days? Whatever happens, I expect us to come out with a similar approach to what we did against Stoke, however hopefully we dont have the same 2nd half drama. I spoke with Swansea City supporter Buddy Hill about the match, and got his opinions as we edge closer to kick off.
  9. Amazing result for Rovers against a team I feel will be up in the mix at the end of the season. Leeds looked very comfortable against us at times, however we dug deep today to make sure we continued our positive start to the season. Tremendous job done by Mowbray and his coaching staff, did their homework for this one. No rest for the wicked (despite this spooky season) another tough one to come against Swansea midweek. Reaction from Leeds United SUPERFAN Heidi Haigh and words from the gaffa.
  10. Another tough one this one. Not sure what the situation is with Pontus Jansson. He has been in the headlines for his behavior, and I am not sure if that will result in a suspension or not. For our sake I hope so. He is a beast of a defender and the player I rate the most within the Leeds squad. I spoke with a HUGE Leeds United fan in the build up to the match.... so knows her stuff!
  11. Gritty win. Sometime we win pretty, some times we lose when playing tremendous football, today we dug deep and held on for a massive victory which can give us some reason for optimisim. However, with a few days to rest and recover, Mowbray needs to tweak is version of 3 at the back, as its yet to reap any benefits, and please, somehow find away to shut out games... the final 15 minutes in the past few games have been terrible for my nerves. Besides, that Rothwell and Rodwell offered something new in the center of midfield, which I found refreshing. And Reed, keeps on delivering.
  12. Bounce-back-ability! Thats what we need this weekend to get back on track at the first attempt. These past few fixtures on paper have looked tough, but we got a few points for them. However after the international break our next batch look even tougher. So 3 points would be just the treat this weekend. Choices in midfield for Mowbray, with Reed, Rothwell pushing for a spot. Who will get the chop? As for Bolton, up and down season for them, have taken points off some of the big boys, but stumbled elsewhere. Hoping we get the latter. No Bolton fan input... typical! Bring it Rovers!
  13. Besides Bristol City, this was the worst I have seen Rovers this season. Offered very little, nothing to get excited about. Tony needs a backup plan if sides bring the "3 at the back" system to Ewood as we could not deal with it. Dack was cancelled out all game, and both Graham and Brereton offered little to threaten Sheff Utd. Good side, and will go close this year. If there is a dark horse for promotion this year, its them.
  14. Would like to see Graham and Dack continue their blossoming partnership, however I am not sure he will start both this game and our next against Bolton on the weekend. They have looked the real deal of late, great understanding, if only Graham had legs a little younger. Perhaps 60 minutes on Wednesday and a cameo on the weekend. Also, who to fill in a right back? Reed? Bennett? Travis? Or dare I say it, play 3 at the back with Bennett at wing back? Thats why Mowbray gets paid the big bucks! I spoke with Up the Blades podcast host Ben Meakin about the match and more.
  15. Jammy 2nd penalty for Forest cost us 2 more points in the end, however we were a tad fortunate not to concede more in the final flurry by Forest. If offered a point at the start I would have taken it, however we are drawing too many matches at home at the moment. Hopefully we can snatch a 4 to 6 points over the next two games to head into the international break in good form. Reaction from Mowbray, 2 x Forest fans and more.
  16. I have not seen a match thread for this game, so thought I would be brave and get one started. Forest just pounced on Stoke in a similar vein to us in the league cup. 3 goal lead gobbled up, with Stoke losing eventually 3-2. Am I correct in thinking Brereton will not be allowed to play this weekend against Forest? If, so Graham to start, with Dack supporting. Mowbray some midfield selection headaches to make, with Conway, Armstrong and Rothwell giving him a bit of a dilemma. Reed, Bennett, Evans and Smallwood also in contention. That's why he gets paid the big bucks. I spoke with Rich Ferraro from Rich Ferraro's Forest Ramble Podcast to talk about the build up to this match, he gives a fair assessment on Brereton and their chances for Saturday afternoon.
  17. What a thriller! Here is me thinking we a cruising for a monster victory only for 15 minutes of madness. The scoreline does flatter stoke to be honest, albeit they were the better side in the last 15 minutes. However we could had a few more well before the mayhem of the last quarter. Hoping Brereton can get a start soon, would like to see more of him. Reed looks good, and Bennett was an excellent skipper today. Next up Premier League Bournemouth! We got this.
  18. Urgh! Painful yet we grab a point. Didnt deserve it to be honest, but I will take it gladly. Plus points, Harrison Reed should give Mowbray some food for thought for Stoke City. Hear words of wisdom from the gaffa, also we get some reaction from Derby County supporter and Steve Bloomers Washing Podcast host Chris Parsons and Rovers supporter Rob Young.
  19. Our 1st set of tricky fixtures continues with a difficult road trip. Not sure how much them losing Lawrence will effect them. Also what are the repercussions of Franks Lampard's dismissal at the Rotherham United game? I'll take a point if offered before the match. Derby will be in the mix at the end of the season. I spoke with Chris Parson's about the buildup to the match to get a Derby point of view.
  20. One of those scenarios, I would have taken a point at the start of the match but pissed that we only get a point at the end of it. We need to close up matches, we have been in this situation many many times. However keep chins up and go again Tuesday. If we can snatch another point away from home would be 2 MASSIVE points for us.
  21. OK, so a few days/weeks have passed since we got our 1st spanking of the season, lets hope the lads come into this one fit and raring to go. Hoping to see the new lad Brererton starting this weekend with Dack not far behind. When fully fit we have a decent squad, still questions marks for our defense. Hoping Villa still have another defeat in them before they click into 2nd gear.
  22. Well it had to happen one day, and today it happened with bang. The honeymoon is over for Rovers we now need to bounce back strong against Villa after the international break. In all honesty we have had a excellent start to the season, to lose one game from 6 is not bad form, and we should be in good spirits overall. Hopefully after a wee break Dack will return and we can start to get some more early points on the board to keep us away from any unnecessary trouble. Thoughts from the gaffa, and Bristol City podcast host and more.
  23. Lets hope we can head into the international break with a win or at worst case scenario remain unbeaten. Still expecting a couple new faces before the loan window shuts, and have my fingers crossed Ben Brereton makes a cameo from the bench on Saturday. Thoughts from Dave Skinner from The One Stream (Bristol City) Podcast and more.
  24. Important win for Rovers to finally get a victory at Ewood Park in the Championship. Hopefully we can kick on this week when we take on Lincoln in the Cup and furthermore when we head to Bristol for a massive away day before the international break. Hoping the gaffa can add 3 or 4 more faces this week, expect that youngster from Forest, and Harris Reed from Saints, maybe 1 or 2 more. My thoughts and words from the gaffa.
