  1. I hope he rips it up today and MoM. What we get in future transfer fees is immaterial but as he's one of the best of "one of our own" and a true blue who wasn't looking for a move, I can only wish him all the best and hope today showcases his class. Again, not a fan of Palace (I was at the game) but they have got some very exciting players to watch, and also - fuck City.
  2. They don't care, think about the prestige of owning the most successful town team ever, one of only a handful of clubs to be Premier League champions etc etc etc they have dismantled the ladies team just as they have the mens team. If (as we've read before) saving face and not being seen to be "losers" in Indian society is their credo, they are making a very poor job of it! Does anyone know if there is any media coverage of their poor performance (football wise) in the Indian media?
  3. "Come on without, come on within, you'll not see nothing like Don Martin"
  4. Contracts and transfers predominate. Expecting lower mid table.
  5. 1958/9? As a babe in arms. Parents had the shop next to the Aquaduct, father used to take me, 1st team and reserves. Can't recall any games till about 1965 when I realised how great football was, watching Douglas and Clayton.
  6. My Nottingham mate said he was infuriating to watch, I prefer abysmal.
  7. Nothing I can add that hasn't been posted already. Tronstad player of the year. Overall opinion of the season: Meh
  8. I asked if you were happy with £5m?
  9. Recruitment works better with a bigger budget, are you happy with £5m per season?
  10. Compared to the transfer incomings, it's a small percentage.
  11. The Smiths - Still Ill (Looks weird)
  12. Distraction tactics, don't hype the squad up, make them servile, lucky to be employed.
  13. It's nice to dream and be positive but who seriously thinks we'll be in the play offs, never mind win them?
  14. Do leopards change their spots? VI's record speaks for itself. I'm very much on the fence (on the negative side) and will continue to be, let's see where we are at Christmas 2025. Excuses accepted for his hands being tied, although I doubt he'll be flavour of the month.
  15. It doesn't matter which team he plays for, I still consider him "one of us". Very few Rovers players I have that fondness and respect for once they've left.
  16. Play offs were gone in January, confirmed when JE left.
  17. I was all for him going earlier in the season but he's won me over somewhat with his (better than usual) performances and his overall persona.
  18. Reminds me of Dennis Wise, who I also disliked.
  19. Surely the right actions and "sensible" communication is the correct option?
  20. Because they always think small instead of big, possibly because that's how they run every aspect of the club. No ambition.
  21. Tbh I'd like Derby to stay up, proving to the idiots that Eustace was well worth backing and on a personal note I have soft spot as father came from Derby and supported them but still took me on Ewood every week.
