  1. I would also say all of that about us. Debt north of £150 Million and a wage to turnover ratio of 154%. It's not sustainable for us to just carry on for the next few years as a mid table Championship side, if we don't get promotion within the next few years then we will be going back down to league 1 within the next 4-5 years and the return won't be as quick.
  2. Bell may have great pace and be good technically although would debate the latter but it doesn't change the fact that he has none of the attributes of a good defender. Gallagher is not in the team to defend he is an attacker and his main job is to score/create goals which he doesn't do enough. Buckley is not ready for Championship football, a spell out on loan would help him a lot.
  3. He's been excellent again tonight. But if Celtic win the league this year then I would be stunned if they didn't spend some big money in the summer to make sure that next season is a very special one for them.
  4. Chapman is a natural wide man and we have very few. Bell hasn't played well in the two years he has been here, he's a terrible defender who I would have no way near the first team. Graham's legs might have gone but his intelligence and link up play will cause a team far more problems than Gallagher running around like a headless chicken.
  5. Walton Nyambe Lenihan Tosin Williams Chapman Travis Johnson Downing Graham Armstrong
  6. McNeil is younger than Buckley, Rankin-Costello, Butterworth, Magloire and Grayson but he has already played more the double the amount of games of those 5 'prospects' combined.
  7. Have you been asleep the last 9 years?
  8. I'm simply stating a fact we which is that we let Raya go before a replacement was signed despite Mowbray saying previously 'You want to strengthen before you lose any players.'What about that do you dispute? It's no good having players lined up you have to actually sign them. As for Raya and his agent then that is just tough he was being paid by us and had 2 years left on his contract and should have been told he was going nowhere until we had a replacement.
  9. Complete conjecture all we really know for certain is that Mowbray let Raya go without having signed a replacement. Poor.
  10. Would you give Mowbray a contract for life?
  11. A spell in the national league system or even in the Northern Premier would do wonders for the lad's development.
  12. One thing we do know and the one thing that really matters and that is that we signed sod all in January. Unlike every other club in the division.
  13. Be an excellent replacement for Gladwin in the treatment room.
  14. It wasn't me saying it, it was Tony Mowbray saying it. Read it, it is in the link below Mowbray literally says 'You want to strengthen before you lose any players.' https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/17732435.mowbray-rovers-stand-terms-transfer-deals/
  15. If he knew from April that Raya was leaving that makes it even worse that he was sold before a replacement came in. And it's no good have players lined up you need to get them signed up as Tony himself said 'You want to strengthen before you lose any players'. A shame that he didn't do what he said.
  16. The same Mowbray just one month before said 'You want to strengthen before you lose any players and other clubs are saying the same.' Yet one month later he let Raya go before he had strengthened, very poor operating in the transfer market once again by Mowbray. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/17732435.mowbray-rovers-stand-terms-transfer-deals/
  17. Absolutely no chance we have neither the squad or the manager capable of getting us into the top 6.
  18. Raya mush have cost us double figures in terms of errors leading to goals last season and I had no problem with selling him for a good fee and bringing in an experienced number 1. But Walton is on loan, not particularly experienced and make's as many mistakes as Raya. The Boro goal yesterday was poor keeping, he has to deal with the first shot better. For all the mistakes Raya made he was capable of pulling of some stunning saves, Walton's save yesterday is probably the first one I can remember him pulling off. Although I would say Walton is better on dealing with crosses (although that's not difficult) and his kicking is much better than Raya's.
  19. Of course no one has a right to be in the Premiership but is essential we get back there soon because it's not sustainable for us with our finances to continue mid table in the Championship. The best and easiest way to help get our finances back on track is promotion. If this club spends 50 years outside the top flight then goodness knows where it will be, that's if it is anywhere at all.
  20. You said last summer was huge and it turned out to be a damp squid. How many more huge windows do we give Mowbray before it's decided that he's not up to it?
  21. And he kept us up when he first took charge.
  22. Is that the same Charlie that Tony gave a two year extension to last season?
  23. https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11688/11922784/championship-ins-and-outs-all-the-deals-from-the-january-transfer-window The only club not sign a single player. I'm afraid that Mowbray is happy to just settle for mid table mediocrity, he doesn't the vision, the ambition or ability to get us into the top 6.
  24. I hope I'm wrong but the Atsu story sounds a bit like the Assombalonga one this time last year, chasing a player so we can say we tried but in reality we knew that we couldn't afford him.
  25. Another bench for him to sit on. Why don't we loan him somewhere he is going to play.
