Whilst not trying to defend Gestede, this may have simply been a lazy cost cut rather than anything specifically ideological. Not yet confirmed, but looking like O'Grady-Macken has been loaned to Oldham until January. I hope they give him more minutes than they have been giving to Olson Rovers were advertising for a loans manager during the summer. I have not seen that the role has been filled, but the loans out with the exception of O'Riordan appear to be notably worse than last season when Stuart Jones was in charge of that side of things
