  1. A statement that we should all be able to get behind
  2. But but but, "exciting summer ahead" I wonder if he meant the "exciting" last minute scramble trying to plug gaping holes in the squad with cheap punts and loans? If Rovers do stay out of trouble this season, then the scouting department will have performed a miracle
  3. Could probably say the same about Travis and Tronstad too
  4. If so, its almost certainly Gestede/Pasha using the old Waggott contract negotiations playbook 1 - Offer a salary package that the player is happy with 2 - Get the player over for medical etc 3 - Try a second lowball offer in the hope of saving a few quid, hoping that they player feels invested enough in the move rather than telling them to f off
  5. Doesn't help him that he was sent out on loan in January and then immediately injured for the rest of the season (knee injury if I recall). Not even sure if he is fit now
  6. Will that AI turn into Hitler too? 😉
  7. U21 friendly fixtures for those interested Saturday July 12th Celtic Behind closed doors Saturday July 19th Tranmere Rovers Behind closed doors Wednesday July 23rd Oldham Athletic Behind closed doors Saturday July 26th Curzon Ashton Tameside Stadium (3pm) Wednesday July 30th Barnsley Behind closed doors Saturday August 2nd Ashton United Hurst Cross Stadium (1pm) Saturday August 9th Derby County Behind closed doors
  8. When transfermarkt has someone down as right midfield, it more often than not means right wing back, and as St Mirren play with wing backs,it looks like that is where he played
  9. Whilst most of us probably have no idea about the quality of the players signed (could be just as easily be Ohashi's, or Telalovic's). They do all seem to have pace, strength, height, and the ability to drive forward with the ball, all things which Rovers have been missing for a while Hopefully at least a couple of them turn out to be gems
  10. According to this, he may not, IF his loan club is taken as his last club rather than his parent club
  11. Are you living in an alternate universe? 😉
  12. I am sure that I read an old interview with him that he likes his wingers cutting inside, If so, we can expect Hedges and De Neve will compete for the spot on the right, Kargbo and someone else on the left
  13. He moved to Greece last week https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/dereck-kutesa/profil/spieler/237669
  14. There was any early bird offer last season at £140 too, they just didn't advertise it (as far as I saw), I only just grabbed it in time before the price increased Hence why I started the thread. I thought at least we can keep a collective eye on Rovers site and social media so that those who do want to pick up a subscription (assuming its available) can do so at the best price
  15. Rudy - "If we make you an acceptable offer and invest in the squad, would you be happy to sign?" Brittain/Travis/Tronstad - "yes sure" Rudy - "great, it sounds like we are close to a breakthrough. What if we offer you slightly less than that and do not invest in the playing squad?""
  16. The way I read this, it can be any point from 12 months after signing (which I suppose means that Ohashi cannot technically be converted until the end of the month, although they may waive that given that there is no football to be played before then) https://analyticsfc.co.uk/blog/2023/06/21/introducing-esc-the-new-gbe-guidance-opens-up-recruitment-post-brexit/ " The goal, in many cases, will be for the ESC player that has been granted a work permit on that basis to convert to a non-ESC player. This process can take place after twelve months. At this time, if a player fulfils the autopass criteria for GBE or if they now meet the 15pt threshold through the calculations that have been in place since 2020, then they become non-ESC players with a GBE. This means that the player can continue to play in this country, and the club regains the use of that ESC slot. However, there is another way for the player to convert to non-ESC status. If the player plays in 25% or more of the club’s EQP qualifying matches over the twelve month period or if they play the required percentage of available minutes then they can be converted to a non-ESC player and the club regains that slot. That required percentage of minutes differs according to the level that the club play at, and the age of the player. The exact details are as in the table below:"
  17. should do, yep Toth & Kargbo are the others, who can hopefully both be converted by the end of this coming season assuming they play enough
  18. Should have one, Ohashi played enough last season to be converted to a standard work permit, which frees up his slot
  19. You would have to hope, that given he turns 17 in 2 months time (and can therefore sign a 3 year pro deal at that time), that this deal also included negotiations about locking that down too
  20.
