IMHO, apart from Fulham who would have to invest in new players to stay in the prem, there are no championship sides who would even compete in the Premier league. Kind of sums modern day football up for me.

If I had a choice between reading this match day thread, watching the game live or root canal treatment without anaesthetic I would choose the root canal treatment. Rossendale lad and played for Rossendale United after being released by Rovers If I remember. In my early years I met both Jan and Andrea Meadowcroft.... Both nice girls so Alex did OK there.

I went to the same fixture a year or 2 later and that whole terrace was condemned and shut down. I think Charlton had signed Alan Simonsen and he played against us if I remember correctly. Can't remember the result either.
