  1. We'll most likely lose, Wednesday will get a point at least, and I think Birmingham might beat Norwich in front of a raucous crowd. That would leave us relying on Hull to get something at Plymouth. I'm not confident at all.
  2. As Matty said earlier, they simply don't give a flying one. That's the top and bottom of it.
  3. It will take more than cheap tickets to entice people back. There also has to be something to believe in, some ambition, someting to hope for. We have none of this with this lot in charge.
  4. In the most succint way, that sums them all up to a tee. Nothing else needs saying.
  5. Whatever division we may find ourselves in next season, we'll need at least half a new squad to merely stand still. Crap loanees returning, crap players needing potting, Sammie leaving.... Brougton will have his work cut out like never before, but going off his track record thus far coupled with a non-existant budget, disaster awaits.
  6. I always took those quotes as opposition managers simply blowing smoke up their own arses after beating us.
  7. Put the finances to one side for a moment. What do you think of the reduction in Saturday 3pm games? Do you think that's a price worth paying and fair on the match going fan? Or do you think that, once again, the powers that be are simply cashing in and thinking only of subscribions?
  8. Let;s face it, if this guy had come through our academy, he'd have been binned off long before he was offered a pro contract. He's awful and symptomatic of Broughton.
  9. Well said. I've been going on for 49 years, the only time I gave it a swerve was for 3 seasons or so after these clowns took over and potted Big Sam. I'm so fed up with BRFC and football in general; the season can't end soon enough so I can spend my Saturdays fishing instead. If my daughter wouldn't threaten me with ostracism, I'd be seriously considering to ditch the ST again next season.
  10. Leicester will probably need at least a point from us to assure their promotion spot, so I'm writing that off. Let's say we get a point from Coventry. For us to then go down, Plymouth would 2 points, Wednesday 4 points (due to GD), and Birmingham 4 points. All very possible. I think if we beat Cov, we're safe. But I very much doubt that we will.
  11. I think we'll be leaving Ewood after the game knowing that it's all over bar the shouting. To come back from that disaster class yesterday will take some doing. If we go down a couple early doors, Ewood might explode. 3-0 Cov
  12. I'm sick and and tired of watching shite and losing, so personally I don't care what style we play just as long as we win a few chuffin' games along the way for once.
  13. For the first time, I think we've had it now. The manner of that defeat will take some bouncing back from, and I'm struggling to see where or how we're going to get what we need to survive. Our main hope rests with those other clubs around us not doing enough.
  14. £50 for two people...crikey, I'd love to know where you eat out these days for that @chaddyrovers !!!
  15. Supply and demand. Sky charge what they do simply because the demand is there. The money swishing around in football is purely because of the armchair viewer. The match going fan is an afterthought to the powers that be; we don't register with them.
  16. Calling something 'the best' is subjective at best, and in the case of Sky and the PL, is done purely as a marketing exercise for the gullible. I don't watch any PL football at all, mainly because it's on Sky, who in conjunction with the PL and FA, have ruined football for the average punter. For my non-Rovers football fix, I subscribe to La Liga TV for £8 a month which gives plenty of live matches. The Spanish game is totally different to what we're used to, but can be just as exciting in it's own way IMO. It's El Classico on Sunday night.
  17. I paid £11.99 for a NowTV day pass to cover the Leeds game, versus the £10 is usually costs to stream a single game on RoversTV. I really begrudge paying Sky a penny, but can't help myself when it's BRFC.
  18. As with any player, we'd only regret Dolan leaving if we don't replace him with better. Therein lies our problem, though. We wouldn't.
  19. The proven solution to increasing ST sales lies both a few miles to the south and to the west.
  20. That upcoming £6m summer spend is looking like a shoo in.....
  21. Szmodics and Hyam perhaps as signings from the previous year?
  22. Correct. These statements are for the financial year ending June 23. The real sh!t show won't be revealed for a another year.
  23. The worry of letting Gallagher go isn't so much losing him as a player. Rather it's the ability of Broughton to replace him with anything semi-decent. The evidence thus far tells us that we'd just end up with yet another dud.
  24. Talk of getting rid of both Buckley and Travis is madness. We skirted with disaster only a few weeks ago when Tronstad was out injured.
