  2. Without their shields they'll be fully exposed.
  3. As @wilsdenrover said, the court case was brought about by venkys challenging the ED's decision to not grant them a No Objection Certificate. Since that all started they've sold the house and it appears they've been given permission to send an extra £15 million. I'm assuming this is just sitting in the VLL account until they've run out of money at the club. What you say about kickbacks, inflated contracts and agent fees all seems to be a likely scenario. We know for a fact that they've done a lot of that in the past. When you read about money laundering in football, this is generally how it's done. From day one they've been doing this stuff and they only tightened things up once the investigation was underway. There's a case to be made for them being just disinterested in the club but that doesn't explain all the involvement with corrupt agents and corrupt organisations like Kentaro. Throw into that the investigation and a different sort of picture starts to emerge. Since day one there's always been something dodgy about their presence here, what you say about the way they've financed this whole operation seems more than plausible, although I'm not any kind of specialist on how the Indian finance system works. There seems to have been enough pressure on them to sell the house so maybe the pressure could get to the point whereby they have to sell the club to relieve it. We as fans can play our part in building up that pressure by getting them in the spotlight.
  4. That's not how things work though. If you sell more tickets you've got more people there for repeat business, selling pints, pies, shirts etc. In short, you make more money by selling more tickets. You do need to have the most basic understanding of consumer economics and as is so blindingly evident, not one single person who works for the venky organisation possess such attributes.
  5. Interesting how we have two heads and the owners two hats 🤠 🤠
  6. When they sell I will actively make the effort to come back, but until that time they can do one.
  7. I could have managed that team to at least the semis in those competitions. When they got to the finals they were totally outclassed and outfoxed tactically. That game against Spain was embarrassing. Men against boys from the first whistle.
  8. They need to get a No Objection Certificate for every transfer of funds overseas. So as I said at the time, Waggot was being disingenuous (remember he said there SHOULDN'T be any impediment to funding). If you don't believe me then read the club accounts.
  9. It's easy to not go when you stop going. You'll miss it less than you think.
  10. Mods, any chance we can pin this post in this thread?
  11. Essentially, if you buy a season ticket then you're consenting to venky's destruction of the club. Just my opinion of course.
  12. The problem that exists in English football is a systemic lack of tactical understanding of the game. That's what separates the big European nations from England. It's not just about being able to play and control the ball, it's where you're playing it to and why. This is the reason why England fail as a nation and why there's never been a single English manager to even win the top division in this country since 1993.
  13. That's at least £150 too much to sit in the decaying remanence of the Riverside.
  14. To put it bluntly, If you don't like the price of the season ticket then don't buy one. Keep your money and vote with your feet. Don't buy one then spend the rest of the time bitching about it, buy paying the price they've set you have consented to the price.
  15. 15% just to fold the seat down.
  16. The Stone Roses - Sugar Spun Sister
  17. In a special celebration of 15 years of venky rovers, season tickets have been given a 15% price increase with an additional 15% penalty fee for anyone purchasing one.
  18. Easiest 3 points Pompey will get all season
  19. Given that precisely £0 has been reinvested and given the reason why he was sold, I'm glad they sold him on the cheap. Yet another example of just how fucking stupid the people who own and run this club are.
  20. Hence the laughing emoji in the thread title.
  21. Clockwork Orange meets Aladdin Sane
