  1. Hardly a measure of quality, Emile Hesky was a first choice for England and he was shit.
  2. Not like Batty, Tronstadt can pass the ball forward.
  3. Or they're staring down the barrel of potential relegation and that extra 25 million they'll make can help with the squad rebuild.
  4. Not had any communication from the trust regarding what the members think of any proposals. Maybe a questionnaire would be a good idea 💡 If the members had been consulted then I'm sure I wouldn't be the only one saying that flexi tickets are a load of bollocks. What we need is cheaper tickets and new owners. If the trust isn't pushing hard for both these things then why? I also find their absence from here disappointing, they should be communicating with all fan groups and forums, here, Facebook, other rovers forums etc to make their presence known and drum up more members. Given the current membership is low I don't see any reason for there not to be any consultation with the membership as to what direction the trust should be taking.
  5. We've had plenty of them go against us for years. In fact the last time I remember us getting something like that in our favour was Paul Gallagher's handball goal against Newcastle, although I haven't paid much attention to the last 14 years for obvious reasons so I might have missed a couple there.
  6. It was a bad challenge but I thought a yellow was the right decision. That commentary was ridiculous, I thought it was a Boro fan channel commentary when I was watching it. Oh well fuck em, the better team won.
  7. TBF that's not an image of the moment he strikes the ball, as you can see the ball is already on it's way from his foot. It was a great move there from Cantwell, most players would have taken the shot but to whip it across the front of the goal was really clever. Edit: Just seen the other angle and he's clearly offside. Not sure how the linesman missed that one but that's the first time a decision like that has gone our way for a very long time. I actually thought the officials had a decent game except for that howler. The ref didn't blow for a foul every 5 seconds and book every player he made eye contact with.
  8. Baath or Ashley Phillips? We should have had both, instead we ended up with neither.
  9. Airs of Bryan Kidd
  10. Proof, as if we needed it, that the club arr deliberately trying to stop people attending the games.
  11. Oh well, looks like it's a pretty shit time to be a Coventry City supporter.
  12. I'm just looking forward to seeing them jack the price up and more people telling them to get fucked. The fact that they were genuinely bemused by the fact they had low sales after knocking £30* off shows how thick they are. *It was actually £20 as there was a £10 penalty fee for people buying in store.
  13. He's been sussed out now and the stream of world class players he relied on for years to provide the magic that made that system click has dried up due to academies the world over producing mediocre players that are only good at passing and moving off the ball. Maybe coaching skills and individual expression out of people for over a decade isn't a good idea after all.
  14. Some of the names of these teams are absolute gold. Ladzio hahaha
  15. I swear down that I didn't write this and that I am not Trevor Wilkin.
  16. This is a midweek away game so not much point even showing up. Just give Boro their default 3-0 win and move on to the weekend.
  17. Totally agree, BRFCS may not be a majority group within the wider fanbase but it's certainly one of the most dedicated and possibly more objective groups. Why did this arrangement come to an end?
  18. Been to the Riverside years ago. Dystopian is the word that springs to mind when describing that place. Midweek, away. We'll get bummed for sure.
  19. Agents aren't allowed to run football clubs but that happened here. Even when the so called authorities were presented with concrete evidence of this they did absolutely nothing.
  20. That would cost an exuberant amount of money as you'd need to install a massive detention chamber with a pumped outlet. As o2g mentioned, that's a ridiculous outlay just to prevent postponing one match every few years or even decades. None of that matters as the level of the river dictates the outfall. As I'm sure everyone knows water always sits level. This is a one off weather event where, if what people said earlier is correct, you have snow melting and large rainfall. There's not much that can be done about this, and since the wealthy corporations and governments are doing absolutely fuck all to tackle the issues that we all face, we're only going to see more of these sorts of events. In short, this probably isn't the club's fault on this one, but I'd put money on there being a long list of works that the ground staff are needing to undertake that aren't being done as we're operating on a do minimum model that will ultimately be more expensive than just doing the job properly.
  21. Well luckily I am a civil engineer with 10 years of drainage behind me as well. All the stormwater drainage at Ewood will be discharged into the river. If the river is absolutely bulging like has been suggested then there's nowhere for the water to go. Couple this with fourteen years of total neglect and you've got standing water that isn't going away. Not the club's fault really here as this sounds like an extreme weather event, but as per usual it's a problem that will be made worse by the way things have been run for the last fourteen years.
  22. It will be interesting to see if he does get a point. Hopefully he doesn't, one less relegation place to worry about.
