Personally I love the 12:30 kick off times as I can stay up to watch the match if I'm in the mood. It's a shame that whenever we play midweek it's an automatic forfeit of the game because they're on at even better times. The total lack of respect shown to the match going support is going to be nothing other than detrimental to the game.

It's definitely a good way of playing but it's not the only way and unless you're equipped with the best players in the world you can't play that way all the time. Besides it's not really a new thing, at the very least the Dutch were playing that style in the 70s, I'm sure some of the older lads on here will remember way before then. Pep and Barcelona just refined the style after it was brought in to the club by Cruyff. Like most things, there's a time and place for it.

Everyone misses the point that when at Barcelona he had some of the best players and THE best player in the world at his disposal. They had been through a youth system that had been working on playing that style of football since the mid 90s. Along with them the squad was supplemented with the likes of Etoo, Henry, Fabregasc etc. He also had the refs on the payroll. At City he's had a budget of £♾️.

Pep has been sussed out and he's now suffering from everyone trying to play his boring possession passing based style for the last 15 years. Players aren't developed to be creative and skilled anymore, they're just trained to pass and be disciplined to play within 'the system'.

The memory that is burned into my brain from that season was singing "Tony Parkes' Blue & White Army" with some guy yelling in between "Fuck Off Bryan Kidd!" Back when the real Blackburn Rovers existed and things like having a shit manager were sorted out before it became a major issue.

That season was absolutely brutal. At least the situation was sorted and we got the mighty Souness in to sort it out. What a great manoeuvre that was. I really do miss Blackburn Rovers F.C.

I do not live in Australia, how dare you! I lived in Mill Hill for a couple of years and refused to go then. Proximity to Ewood has absolutely nothing to do with it.

Surely we didn't have Souness in charge at the time. I'll never forget when he branded the referee as a clown. That was amazing.

I don't know what other approach we can do. For me we took the right approach against Stoke, we were attacking and created a lot of goal chances. The only changes I'd make would be to go two up front and leave two on the halfway line at corners, just basic football tactics you know. We've been failing because our squad is shit. It was a shit squad when Mowbray was here and it's just got weaker and weaker year after year. That has all been done 100% deliberately. We've sold all our best players for fuck all or let them leave for free, we have not replaced any of them. It's no coincidence that the first two people who came here and talked about getting promoted to the Premier League were gone within 18 months after their positions were made completely untenable.

To be honest the refs on the continent seem to be not too bad from what I've seen. It's mainly an English issue with them being completely gash and totally inept.
