v Derby County (h) - 8/11/25 12:30pm ko

2-2 tomorrow . Derby are no great shakes, but I don't think our squad is good enough to make up the injuries. We have had 3 free hits in terms of expectation and performed well as we've done the last few years when nothing expected and we're underdogs, suits us. We tend to underperform when a hint of expectation is there. I hope everyone of a Blue and White persuasion has a great day regardless and I am wrong. -
Awful news. Who knows what version of Pears we will get. Eustace will know how to expose him on Saturday.

At least they didn't put us in Claret like Netflix did... If they came out on Saturday in the shirt, carrying leather balls with caps on, it would probably be something different and look memorable. My issue is this just seems a very lazy attempt, a missed opportunity for some positive PR and sales. It also looks cheap and rubbish and its rumoured to be £90. Its an open goal and they've done their usual. Even if we did play in that and I can't say either way, they could have still made it more retro looking or sell it as part of a packaged box with replicas of the minutes or something, something different. The whole anniversary so far has felt a bit 'meh'. We're one of the few clubs in world football with a history this good and we're just coasting with this rarest of milestone years. I don't want to hear about well for the 100th/125th we didn't do much. The world has moved on, football and its place in the world are different, look at other clubs around us, even in non-league do more. This anniversary should have been a PR mana from heaven opportunity to restore some of the damage from the last 15 years and it all seems like an afterthought. We've had some caps given to whoever was around presented to a few thousand in the rain. A "legends" game against a team who beat us , being played after a 1st team game and a debatable special kit that's not even on sale alongside a official book of our history that doesn't mention it! The website promises the below for Saturday : live entertainment, commemorative memorabilia, special guest appearances, fan activations and stirring tributes to the club’s rich past. Its in 2 days and unless I've missed something, can anyone tell me what any of this will look like befitting of our great clubs celebration? WTF is a fan activation? Conjures up images of Suhail whispering a codeword that triggers the Blackburn end into a ritualistic dance.

Change of shape has been a game changer last few weeks. Two solid away performances and 2 clean sheets. Both deserved thoroughly. We look good, perhaps we might stay up after all. -

Wonderful result. That was deserved, Toth proving his value again with the save at 1-0, earnt us 6 points this last week. Alebioso - give him player of season already. I'm taking some credit as I decided to wear my lucky shirt as I did last week, it'll be on again midweek. Need to follow this up now. -

I never go on X. However I went on for 5 minutes yesterday, I saw a Rovers 'fan' stoic something or other telling people nobody's ever bid for us and we aren't a club people would buy. I nearly broke my phone. With fans like that who needs enemies. Up there with "nothing special about Blackburn Rovers". Wouldn't even accept that people may have bid as it wasn't in public domain. I was a bit naive to the scale of Venkys euphoria on social media. -

Championship Season 25-26

Filing for Admin at Sheffield Wednesday. Like many football clubs, it has been trading at a significant loss for many years, with those losses historically funded by the owner. Mr Chansiri is no longer willing to provide that financial support. "While the recent fan boycott has not directly caused the insolvency, it has increased financial pressure on the club. As a result, the owner has chosen to place the club into administration. -

*sigh* soft set piece again. Too easy. Just as I was beginning to hope we had their number. -

Sky Sports News - Complicit in our downfall. The whole football world poured their unethical , toxic, dark soul into our club like parasites they are. Which IMO is why selling up won't happen. -

If it gets down to the last minute of the last day, I can see Roy pulling them out of it. If only we had someone of that calibre 😞 -

I'm worried we're playing "well" and hard done by in almost every game except Charlton. Yet we have 7 points. Losing becomes a habit when your 1-0 down in your head and the oppositions before kick off. -

We're too easy to find a way to beat, soft underbelly, too many if onlys, going one way this season. -
I remember reading the story of Herbie Arthur in the snowstorm game against Burnley when I was about 6 and it captured my imagination. To date it's still one of my favourite stories. For those that aren't aware, I've included it below. "Burnley was the scene on December 12th, 1891, of an incident with which Arthur's name will ever be associated. Sir Charles Clegg, now the president of the Football Association, was the referee, and in a blinding snowstorm Burnley led at half-time by three goals. The second half had not been long in progress when two players, between whom there had been earlier friction, squared up again. Both men received marching orders. The whole of the Rovers team, with the exception of Arthur, followed to the dressing-room, and could not be persuaded to return. Thereupon, Mr. Clegg, as he then was, directed Burnley to recommence the game―with 'Herby' Arthur against ten men. In this predicament the goalkeeper successfully claimed for offside, and rallied so long in taking the free kick that the referee applied the closure."

We should refer to it as a half back and go full retro. Apart from Number 1 and number 9, until Carragher, Neville and all the other double pivot bros started using it. I had never in my life, playing or watching heard fans or fellow players use numbers to describe positions. Adams, Baresi and Moore want their number back ! What position does number 14 play?! Anyway England do what we always doz cruise through qualifying against teams that would struggle.innthe championship. We've as much a chance as anyone at the world cup. Southgate nearly did it and he was a nice bloke but tactically limited. If Tuchel can avoid falling out with people beforehand there's every chance.
