  1. I don't think guys like Ismael need selling an illusion i'm pretty certain that in his case he's been told look we need to sell/let go half the squad and replace with cheaper to develop quickly. We think you are the man for the job and you can decide the profile of the replacements if not the actual player. Here is the contract, here is the bonus structure, insert some release clauses to protect us both. The last 3 head coaches have relaunched their careers here and gone on to big jobs afterwards despite the challenges here. We won't stand in your way if you wish to leave for a club that will pay compensation, do you want to sign ? No brainer.
  2. Iv'e seen nothing really so far that suggests anything other than a loss here they are everything we aren't, bright, vibrant, building, ambitious, i could go on. This is the championship though so anything can happen and everything depends on us going in front instead of behind yet we are back to starting games like we are wading in treacle. Even last season there was little evidence of this energetic pressing/countering style Ismael has banged on about but it's ok cried the usual suspects he'll have to get his own type of players in first, well........ Rovers 1 Tom Brady's 7k Glory Hunters 3 20,787
  3. The pressure on keepers these days to play like sure footed centre halves out and inside their own box is both ridiculous and needless. No wonder the kid ballsed up he should be under instruction on his debut, keep it simple and clear your lines at all times. However as much as i said on Sat and stand by it that WBA would have been out of sight first half if Pears played the opposite is true tonight. If he'd been in goal as he should have been he probably doesn't concede that and it's a different game. Again though don't blame the players it's just piss poor management at team and director level.
  4. If Gestede and Ismael have any brains and backbone between them they'll be telling the chief bean counter we need to sell Gueye and put that with the Travis money and get a proven forward from somewhere, even if yes it's a bloody loan.
  5. Another very strange situation with him. Just finding his feet at non league Chorley several rungs below where even Bradford are then hooked, brought back here and in the squad. Odd and looking increasingly stupid.
  6. I'm under the impression due to bits said in the past by TM and bits in the press that Rovers contracts are heavily bonus related in order to incentivise. Maybe some of those sites use that in their 'estimated' guesswork.
  7. Most sites are bollocks and in no realm do Venky Rovers throw kids on 2-3k a week onto double figure contracts. Lets all have some common sense on this the cost cutting has been going on for years now. Travis would have been gone years ago on a contract like that.
  8. That means bugger all the top paid player at the time was Gallagher on about 15k signed years before for 5 million from a Prem team where he took a big pay cut but was offered 4 years at Rovers instead of 3. Then they extended his contract. Trav as an academy graduate won't have been in the same ball park but 10k a week would still be in the higher end bracket. Waggot and the other berk didn't want him sat on the bench every week on that money.
  9. Eustace knows all this that's why hes been after virtually every half decent players we had. They have a budget and hes told them they can get cheap good standard Championship players from Blackburn due to low salaries.
  10. There is no way Travis is on 15k pwk here, non and he isn't trousering 30k pwk at a club like Derby, no chance. He'll be on about 10k here ( anybody on that amount or more will be nudged towards the door). At Derby he'll get a bit more, a signing on fee plus offered a 3 or 4 year deal. No way was he offered that here either.
  11. He just looks totally detached from it all his heart has never been in this job he's just the puppet those upstairs have been looking for to toe the line whilst they create the chaos.
  12. So the anonymous director was there tonight, Venkys finance man surely no coincidence. No doubt instructing Gestede he must seek offers for anyone he can get a fee for.
  13. The fact they've all been steered towards the door doesn't help either.
  14. Absolute croc of crap but fully expected as they've taken a team that finished 7th, moulded by Eustace, smashed it up and replaced it with a squad of individuals. The first 11 will take time to gel but tonights back up players showed what they are, a combination of weak, nowhere near ready and quality lacking...squad of individuals coached by someone who doesn't seem to concerned with the lack of balance his tactics serve up. Out of that cup early is dire when all you exist for as a club is to develop kids and cheap talent as it's great for giving them mins but going out now might do us a favour. It's going to be a real tough one this season and it's all been created by the lords and their masters in the corridors yet again.
  15. He'll end up going for about 1.8 million with a load of add ons that will be dressed up as 'a deal up to 2.5m' similar to what you say. How much of those extra add ons we'll actually see is another debate but my point here is Rovers are desperate to get rid because they've already spent on replacements. So there'll be no holding out for good money however it'll be dressed up as otherwise to fend of the critics.
  16. If it's any 'thing' it's an arrogance thing. We'll do what we want, we are rich and powerful and can afford to chuck millions away keeping a famous old English football club afloat, just because we can. We own those Brit mofo's and they will dance to our tune as long as we like' That sort of thing.
  17. So the countdown to Travis leaving has begun and no surprises its started at 1.5 million and won't get anywhere near some of the numbers expected on here in reallity. Under the cloak of 'undisclosed' and 'add ons up to' etc
  18. Even if they find him another position in the club it's a fair old 'unsackable' statement again. He must have some gigantic pay off written into his contract or something.
  19. Just numbers on a screen to them and will have had little to no impact on their business empire and personal wealth. In fact the 200 million plus is probably in counted as being in the portfolio rather than the debt column. So when some say hey these lot are worth 1.2 billion that .2 is little old Rovers by way of the VLL spread sheet....
  20. Lowe must be very well in with someone who has the ears of Pune. Looked like Eustace tried to get rid but he was just sent on other duties then reappeared. Very odd stuff for a low level coach maybe Suhail himself is trying to get him reinstated after he was pushed out by VI and Gestede ?
  21. Revolutionary. Did they not put a ten quid surcharge on for your nerve of just walking up and asking to buy !
  22. Every club within 100 miles radius now has its big day out at Ewood.
  23. It's almost a carbon copy of the last big fire sale that lead to relegation when you stand back and look at it and of course the younger Venky apologists in the fanbase won't have seen that or won't really remember it and how it all started. Add in the revolving head coach and staff door and directors and staff leaving or being shoved out whilst inside the club a novice from nowhere suddenly seems to be running everything. Only difference this time is players sold aren't being replaced by old men on tens of thousands per week. End result will probably turn out the same sooner or later though.
  24. Then people will wonder why despite cutbacks the running costs don't come down. How many others are they still paying i wonder.
