To go from a back line of Brittain, Hyam, Batth,..... to what they'll cobble together now is genuinely scary. On their day all the defensive bods we have left are half decent but inconsistent and injury prone. Brittain was the best RWB outside the top clubs, Hyam the most reliable CB injury wise, Batth was usually our best CB game per game and the team was built on reasonable foundations with the help of Trav and Trons. Rarely happens in the world of football and why would Travis or someone like that do it ? Plus people like Venkys have far more powerful laywers.

Which is pretty much what is happening one way or another but people still swallowing the 'transition season' line. NO club does this unless it's up the creek with finances. If administrators or bankers took the club over this is exactly what they'd do.
