Quite a lot comes out in just throwaway lines in the wider context of interviews. You'll never get anyone saying 'I'm going to lift the lid' on the chaos at Blackburn under Venkys. Rarely happens in the world of football and why would Travis or someone like that do it ? It's not about the fans to 99% of players. they have their differences with people at clubs but once they are out they tend to wash their hands of it. Plus people like Venkys have far more powerful laywers.

Things only come out years later in little bits when players are long retired and chatting on podcasts to other ex players. The unwritten rule in that industry is obviously keep your mouth shut whilst you are still working.

It's obvious a lot of shit started as soon as Gestede appeared out of nowhere but Suhail has employed him and he is doing his dirty work in many ways. You don't get that amount of leeway to do what you want at a football club without the blessing of your bosses. Once the dust settles in the future Gestede will be gone and blame attached to him whilst Suhail continues to hide away and the owners remain silent. These two have now ripped the heart out of the club and team in the space of a few months it's a clear repeat of the early Kean/Anderson stuff just at a lower level. Took those two about 18 months though ! Only real beneficeries here ? The agents....again.

I've not always been his biggest fan but being consistently average with the odd great/bad day is better than being consistently shite. And we've seen plenty of the latter. I think as one or two mentioned when he joined Miller could well be earmarked as a cheap replacement in the centre. We've been conned again this was a plan all along we should see it coming because he is literally the only one left that would fetch north of 2 million. Always on the cards.

Sign a truck load of mostly obscure international players then give then Championship appearances and exposure to instantly improve value and stats. Hope that one or two really hit the mark and become worth a big fee whilst the rest should remain of interest to lower teams abroad again through your agency network. More direct football in lge 1 more physical stuff in the box so he'd need a very good defence in front of him. Everything else i agree he should be fine though i'd never rate him as good in the Champ he's bang average but a good number 2. If he stays he should be put back on the bench it makes no sense having a rookie on there whilst paying Pears probably 5 times as much for nothing. As others have said if he goes and we find ourselves in a relegation scrap with only the rookie as cover it's one of the stupidest things that's gone on at this club and that really is saying something.

After an horrific start which could partly be put down to some players sulking he turned it round and did well, with Eustaces team. He is now being judged on his own team which is perfectly normal and he does have the excuse of needing to gel however they gelled alright last week then the same side looked shite for 45 mins 7 days later. So he's being judged accordingly imo and to be fair he hooked the worst of the lot at half time. It;'s where we go now that matters does he revert back to that starting line up again or shake it up. And how does he integrate the new attackers ? His biggest test is just beginning.

Tony Mowbray earned several million quid off the owners and their puppet and was allowed to plod along till the end of that contract. Along the way bringing in some of his mates players, employing his mates both above and below him and generally just doing what he wanted within reason. He's unlikely to say anything other than how nice they were - to him personally.

With the length of contract he has and the people who brought him in running the whole show he could well be similarly un removable and he knows it.

Diaz is a good signing for that lot he'll fit well into Eustaces style imo hitting on the break after sitting back all the time. He's a quality threat when he has a purple patch and it's now more evident than ever why Eustace wanted to go there.
