  1. The Young Rascals - Good, Good Lovin’
  2. He took a hell of a whack to the head in the final. You could tell something was wrong when he came back onto the pitch. He ran back on like a maniac.
  3. Not many players will sign for us given an alternative option.
  4. Yeah I remember seeing him playing for Bournemouth on the left wing with Harry Redknapp on the right wing. He was a seriously rapid winger. He died very young. The rumour was he was doing a bit of horizontal jogging at the time.
  5. I feel a bit like that to be honest. I’ve got friends who go to his live shoes and rave about them.
  6. Yeah, bad day at the office for Hornets. I’ll see what she says when she gets back.
  7. I got his first 3 albums in a box set sometime in the early 1980’s. I’d never been a fan before then but that box set converted me. The two you mention plus “ Born To Run “ .I’ve got to be honest, they are the only Springsteen albums I bought but I can reccomend them.
  8. Mrs Shoelaces will be there. I only go to Hornets home games these days.
  9. His decision making is his major failing. He gets as many wrong as he gets right. He “ doesn’t know when to stick and when to twist “.
  10. Bruce Springsteen night on BBC 2 tonight.
  11. It’s no longer a club to be proud of. In fact it hasn’t been since the Chicken Chokers rocked up.
  12. James Carr - ( At The) Dark End Of The Street.
  13. We scored very near to the end of the game if I remember rightly. I went over with a mate of mine who’s a Villa fan.
  14. I like the lad but he’s playing at his level at Rovers.
  15. Gazza could run with the ball, Hoddle couldn’t. Players that can run with the ball are a defenders nightmare. Gazza could play for 90 minutes, Hoddle couldn’t.
  16. I went to a Sportsman’s Evening a while back where Dean Saunders was the guest speaker. Somebody asked him who the best player he’d ever played with was. He said “ Paul McGrath, he was incredible given he never trained “.
  17. Roy Head And The Traits - Treat Her Right The white James Brown.
  18. No he didn’t reach his peak unfortunately. What a player he was though. Regarding Paul McGrath - his knees held him back as much as his off the fired behaviour apparently. I believe he hardly trained in the later part of his career because of knee trouble.
  19. He’s only good for 20-25 minutes and that was before he got injured.
  20. In the 1963-65 era he was the best attacking midfield player/ playmaker in the country and he was criminally ignored by Sir Alf.
  21. Johnnie And Joe - Across The Mountains, Over The Sea.
  22. Little Willie John - Need Your Love So Bad.
  23. Just when the women’s game is taking off nationally. Similar to getting us relegated from the Prem just as the gold bars started being handed out.
  24. As they say - not big enough, not in the game enough. Having said that ACD was no better.
