Sukur was a class act. I remember that game, he gave a exhibition of how to play centre forward. -
I could go to two or three games a week with my paper round money back then. I’d be going past my local coach office on my way home from school and I’d see Bolton v Spurs or City v Wolves etc advertised and I’d be in and book. Dash home for some tea and back out to the game. Obviously it was all pay on the gate back then. You could just walk up. Then I started playing seriously myself so Saturday games were out.

Great ball from Pedersen. -
Ffan was good but he only came on here in the week before our two teams were due to play each other.

Every list of clubs he’s managed at that I’ve seen manage not to mention Rovers. -

Any game were you’re winning 1-0 with 10 minutes to go you’ll come under pressure. 1-0 is never enough. The answer - score more bloody goals ! Of course bringing on more defenders doesn’t actually help in that endeavour. -

Exceptional for his height but not in the Mike England league. -

We needed a bit of both. Get them out of their comfort zone. Go with three at the back and by pass the midfield. Get it in the last third. -

Once teams get their noses in front and park the bus like last night the chances of us playing through them are severely limited. Shoving a lamp post up front would cause them problems they might not be able to deal with. By pass the midfield and concentrate on getting the ball in the last third. -

Sometimes minor jobs can lead you a merry dance. I remember getting called out to a “ simple job “ on a radial arm drill. Broken taper pin in the elevating screw - an hour at the most. Broken bits out, new pin in. When I got the broken bits of pin out I discovered the elevating screw had been drilled through about 3 times and was really dangerous. Cut a long story sort what should have taken an hour took me exactly a week to complete ! -

Sounds like the square bar is slightly too long. Remove it and saw about 6mm off the end. I had a similar issue last year. -

You’ve missed out Harper from WBA and that full back from Liverpool who hardly ever played. Edit Sam Hart. -

Him and Gestede are the two best headers of the ball I’ve seen at Ewood. Talking strikers of course. Mike England was the best header I ever saw. Being 6’3” with a great spring made him almost unbeatable. -

Back in the day Gallagher would have never been a centre forward. He hasn’t got the tools. He’d have been a gangly, lower League, inside right. -

Hedges isn’t a finisher. My mum could have put the one he missed at Leicester away. If you can’t score with a chance like that you aren’t going to score many. -

If they weren’t happy to drift along like this season after season they’d have done something about it by now. It’s obvious to me. -

Great little player. He would have got us up this season just like he did previously. How could you not want to bust a gut with him and Moran in the team ? -
