Anything I post on here is my honest, genuine opinion. I don’t post to wind people up. Do I think we can beat France - of course we can. Anything can happen in a football match when it’s 11 v 11. Do I think we’ll beat France - no I don’t. That’s my honest opinion. I don’t have to justify it.

I like Foden playing on the left wing. That was a great left footed cross for Saka’s goal.

Playing with a back five would be a mistake, especially if the player making up the five is Dier. He could put Walker there and play Trippier at right back.

He’s not better than both of them together. Greizman pulls the strings, he’s the one to be concerned with.

Bellingham ? Maybe. Rice ? Not really.

Spain will be tough opponents, Portugal not so much.

I know really well where he plays normally but there’s nothing to say the French won’t move him over from time to time. I would if I were Deschamps.

Sarr, who is no slouch admitttedly, did Walker for pace tonight. Then there’s Dembele on the other wing against Shaw. He got done a couple of times tonight out wide but they weren’t good enough to take advantage. Greizman is the main man for me. Keep him quiet and we may have a chance.

Bit like watching Rovers. Dull until we score first and then we looked decent. Saka doing what any young wingers watching should note - when the ball is on the other wing - get in the box ! It’ll be interesting what happens if France should score first. Have we got a plan B ? JDT hasn’t come up with one so far.
