  1. We’ve got Bristol City away up next. Home form W1 D4 L3. Scored 6 goals. If we can’t go for it in this game when can we ?
  2. I was talking about how we got the ball to the bye line for the winger to put that cross in. Also about how difficult it is for defenders to mark up once they’ve been turned around to face their own goal. They lost Brererton completely.
  3. Great stuff Tony, I bet you enjoyed doing that.
  4. If he’s going to Rangers he might as well stay on the bench. In my book the lads who played yesterday have the shirt. It’s theirs to lose.
  5. Lukaku and Werner being missing is handy also.
  6. Brererton’s goal was a classic example of what wing play brings. We got in up the bye line, the blades defenders were all turned around and facing their own goal. Easy for Brererton to lose his man for a tap in.
  7. How would you feel after playing so well you get left out and have to watch Gallagher bumbling up and down the wing ? I’d be really pissed off if it happened to me. Sometimes I think he only plays Gallagher to give us some height when we’re defending set pieces. Not that he’s much good at defending.
  8. You sound like our Tony. Rovers best performance for years and you want to change things right away. To bring Gally back you’d either have to drop one of the two lads who played so well out wide yesterday. That’s not how you motivate players.
  9. What Mowbray has never had is a coherent way of playing and a settled team. He’s too keen to tinker with the team to suit our opponents. I was listening to the Blackpool coach on Radio Lancashire tonight. He said before they played us he’d had Rovers watched. He was expecting us to play in a certain way when they played us but he found on the day that Mowbray had changed our system to try and combat Blackpool’s style.
  10. Like Kipre signing for West Brom.
  11. He was interviewed briefly on Radio Lancashire at about 5-55. You’d have though we’d just lost 3-1. He’d talk a glass eye to sleep.
  12. Mm, I think Lenihan might be disappointed. He’s not Prem standard in my book.
  13. What, after they won today ? Strange, that must have been planned before today.
  14. 1000 to 1 were mad odds for any striker.
  15. “ When you have the ball make the pitch as big as you can. When the opposition have the ball make it as small as you can.” It’s not exactly inventing the wheel is it. He’s only stumbled on playing with two wingers because Gally was injured. Normal service will be resumed as soon as he’s fit again !
  16. Well that’s made my weekend. When I saw the team I feared the worst. Good to see Brererton getting right in where it hurts. He wasn’t doing that before. Get in the box and the goals will come.
  17. Let’s hope we can keep the score to less than it was on Wednesday night !
  18. I wasn’t Robbie Savage’s biggest fan but could you see him putting up with that. I played with guys who would have had a word with the opposition at 4 or 5 nil. “ You’ve enjoyed yourselves today lads but enough is enough. The game’s over. Any more of it and somebody’s going off on a stretcher “.
  19. Yes, unfortunately that sounds like a man who knows he’s got things stitched up really nicely.
  20. I’d take Bertie Bassett, at least you could eat him if we lost 7-0 again.
  21. The fact that they can’t see what’s wrong with their attitude speaks volumes for the lack of winning mentality at Rovers.
  22. You deserve a medal Tony, you’ve put more effort in than any of those in a blue and white shirt !
  23. Butterworth has also had the best of treatment at the club whilst spending most of the last couple of years in the treatment room. Maybe he’s become Dack’s best mate. Both players need to apologise ASAP.
