  1. Being honest, if he didn’t he’s no one else to blame. A morning on this site would have told him all he needed to know. Having said that he’s got a very long contract. Knowing you can pay the mortgage for a few years makes a hell of a difference to a persons attitude to matters of integrity.
  2. I won’t giving up until they nail the lid down. What worries me is the Chicken Chokers might out last me.
  3. Speaking from experience of relegations going back to 1966 this season has all the ingredients.
  4. What is this “ throwing people under the bus “ bollocks. Are we men or are we mice ? We’re aren’t school kids, people made mistakes today and they need to be told they made mistakes, and I for one need to know that they have been told. If I made a mistake at work I got told in no uncertain terms and the whole shop knew about it. It’s character building, you either sink or swim.
  5. No, Jim’s is always the “ Official “ relegation thread.
  6. My wife just asked me if I wanted to meet up with two friends for a drink. I said “ No, I won’t be much company “. He’s a Sunderland fan. She said “ If football affects your mood so badly it’s time to give it up ! “ Maybe she’s right.
  7. I said when I saw his photo that he looked like a neighbours son after he’d been sniffing glue. Maybe we should nickname him “ Sniffer “ ?
  8. I thought we were a pretty combative side under Big Sam to be honest. It all went tits up the minute the Chicken Chokers fancied a new toy. It’s like any workplace - if the bosses aren’t around to crack the whip most people do the minimum they can get away with. Who’s going to be having a quiet word with the coach first thing Monday morning regarding our poor run.? Err Coar ? I think it’ll be business as normal, ear flicks all round at training. They’ll all be out on the ale tonight, I’d be lying down in a darkened room with the door shut ! I make that four games on the bounce we’ve lost and we’ve made about four chances in those four games.
  9. If you have a corner taker that can’t land the ball at head height on or around the space between the edge of the six yard box and the penalty spot when the chips are down and you’ve stacked the box you can’t blame bad luck. That’s just dumb football, pure and simple.
  10. I was at a rugby league match with my wife and the opposing team had a young, very slight scrum half. My wife said - “ He looks like his legs are pinned on to the bottom of his shorts “. That remark came back to me when I saw DeNeve for the first time.
  11. He’s on his way into my Blackburn Rovers worst 11.
  12. 10/10. character and mindset. That is the difference. There is a losing mentality that pervades the club from top to bottom.
  13. Any team playing against us always know there’s a chance of us imploding no matter how late it is in the game. Against other teams they might lose heart but against us they’ll always have a chance. So they keep going when otherwise they may not.
  14. Bad teams concede at the death regularly. Good team score at the death regularly. How long ago is it since we came from a goal down to win in the last ten minutes ? It must be years ago.
  15. It’s verging on cruelty now. You know when you’ve had a bad game as a player. He must feel like shit every Saturday night.
  16. Yep. If you’re going to lead just by example you‘ve got to be outstanding most of the time.
  17. I only saw in once at that egg cup game at Rochdale. From what I’d heard I expected a lot more. People were talking like he was the second coming of Alan Wright etc. He was hardly involved in a game he should have shone in and he looked a bit on the small side to me.
  18. Nyambe as a wing back ? Great defender but he hasn’t got a creative bone in his body.
  19. Sounds like Baath is playing centrally in a back three. Not his game. Maybe that’s why Coventry have scored 4.
  20. All you leave behind of any real worth when you go to the big changing room in the sky is your reputation and your good name. He’ll just be remembered as a yes man for the Chicken Chokers.
  21. All those would get into today’s team, no problem.
  22. Coar must have absolutely no pride, self respect or integrity.
  23. There is no plan. Apart from cutting costs.
  24. Of course. Nobody else is standing still but you.
  25. It’s called having “ ambition “. The limit of our ambition is to stay exactly where we are.
