  1. Bring back the fellas/women who used to walk down the front of the Riverside with insulated boxes full of pies! It would of course be better if they could dish out booze though. That's part of the problem really, a 15 minute window to buy and consume booze is not adequate in most grounds. If you could sup at your seat it would be staggered and far better. Yes I know I know you don't need alcohol to enjoy football before anyone pipes up, some (a lot) do enjoy it though.
  2. Quite a few clubs have self serve/pre order facilities now (I believe that lot up the road have something now, no idea how good it is though)
  3. Similar in many ways to the Chinese Super League a few years ago. Stupidly huge contracts to mainly aging global superstars. Back then they rarely bought decent defenders though so you had the likes of Hulk, Tevez & Oscar smashing goals in against awful defences, I know a few defenders have gone to Saudi so there may be a slight improvement in the standards. They did start televising games on BT sport (I think) and I'd watch the odd one on a Sunday morning, the games were almost unbearable though and seemed massively corrupt too given some of the decisions, VAR had been introduced then. They'll no doubt try the same with the Saudi league. The Chinese FA then started with restrictions, reducing numbers of players and 'charging' clubs a fee for making multi million pound signings. It all soon fizzled out, whether it will in Saudi remains to be seen, I imagine they have much deeper pockets there so may continue to P money away, time will tell........
  4. And they don't have 'jiffy bags' on.........(technically kraft coloured envelopes)
  5. I think its safe to expect goals in this one....Tufan will arrive full of confidence after a hatty at weekend. I didn't even realise they'd signed Aaron Connolly either till watching the highlights at weekend, could be decent for them. I was reading Scott Twine close to signing on loan as well, keep him fit and he's a brilliant Championship player, hopefully not involved at weekend... I fancy us to win 3-2 with a nervy last 20 mins of injury time.
  6. Videos doing the rounds of that lot singing Jack Walker songs on Friday. People ask why I hate them so much.....
  7. Agreed, it's plain weird. I imagine more Rovers fan than usual watched their game last night as it was a Friday night PL season opener, live on TV, when no other games were. I can absolutely guarantee that win/lose/draw today, my first thought this evening won't be to rush onto a dingle forum to do a 'lol' post.
  8. Not sure, but loads of people wrongly think its sold out because the website has been utter garbage all week. Seen so many people asking for spare tickets on that basis.
  9. I'm not sure to be honest, I know a few people localish to there so may call in a few favours if required....
  10. ST & 1875 & Walsall ticket would be the obvious choice for stage 1. Highly likely to just be ST & 1875 though. I did consider signing up for 1875 today to snag a ticket but I can't be arsed, will go in the home end if anywhere probably.
  11. He was quite poorly wasn't he? Not sure if that played a part.
  12. I believe there's building work going on and Morecombe who play them the week before have only been given just over 400 tickets. Whether we get slightly more remains to be seen but its gonna be tough either way.
  13. Kerching, Swags struggling to conceal a semi now
  14. The "feel sorry for me please its not my fault" approach isn't washing with Sunderland fans one bit, many of then are already fed up with it. He'll be gone by Christmas.
  15. Not sure what's best with Scott Wharton. He seems to have gone really off the boil, not sure if it's confidence thing, a side effect of being rusty from not playing every week or what. Would be really sad to see him go though as there is clearly a player in there. Maybe a short term loan till Jan would benefit him. Need our backup centre halves to be reliable, not sure he would be labelled as such at the minute....
  16. Harrogate away, fairly close and the Spoons there is splendid 😀 If not them then Salford, Bolton, Blackpool, Crewe, Doncaster, Bradford would all be tempting to go to. Fully expecting to get Sheff Weds away now the robbing swines.
  17. After watching the video I can't help but feel that in itself has delayed the announcement, some obscure inclusions in it - maybe we were scrambling round to find ex players who we still had a phone number for that weren't currently on holiday...... Thanks
  18. Quite alarming that Ennis, despite joining in May hasn't managed more than 45 minutes. Give you an idea on just how bad shape he was in when he landed, despite @1864roverite claiming to know otherwise.....
  19. Absolutely splendid, if you could have picked 2 players to score they were the ones too, made up for both of them. Nice easy non-mercer printing money bet too 😎
  20. He almost scored, good save tbf. I'm not a Dolan fan though.
  21. Let's be honest, if Gallagher was fit, Leonard wouldn't be starting today would he? I think we'd all be over the moon if he could get a goal or 2 today and stake his claim though. We've had numerous young strikers come through the ranks over the years that ultimately never make the step up. There's something a bit more special (to me anyway) about the idea of a homegrown striker making the big time compared to other positions. Scoring goals, especially in a time of need can fire you to hero status much quicker than a defender for example. Do us proud Harry 👏 💙🤍 Watch him not even start now😑
