  1. Is he? Based on what? You're right about the contract aspect though which is ultimately what will lower the fee.
  2. Frightening how many people don't realise this
  3. Roberts I'll give you, the rest are players that took you down because they're bang average. I don't see ANYTHING in McNeill and can't for the life of me think why anyone would buy him!
  4. They don't always lose ALL their decent players though, Burnley have apart from IMO Cornet (yet)
  5. Did it? I apologise then I must have missed it. Guess he just recycled something he read on here then and claimed an 'exclusive'
  6. That boy will go far 😎
  7. The Bowler link came from that lad with no idea from Lancs Live, I think he's just thrown a speculative name in the mix I'm afraid.
  8. No sign of any strikers incoming Longsider? Thought that would be one of the first areas to be addressed. If Cornet stays can you see him staying fit enough to handle the championship? Games come at you far quicker than in the prem with all the mid-weekers and he seemed a bit injury prone. Also has Twine been involved much pre season? Burnley friend was saying he hasn't and suggests VK seems to want him to bulk up a bit?
  9. I think from what I've seen it's first half let's work on fitness, let's talk at half time and bounce some ideas about and raise the tempo second half. Next week it'll be totally different I think and we'll be fast out the blocks. Honestly cannot wait.
  10. Don't see much point in loaning a player who if he's any good will be playing against us next season for Fulham.
  11. Think Burnley are on around 15k as well, makes for grim reading looking at ours..... There's an element of a new league and them thinking they'll be up there for promotion and winning games most weeks to factor in, but even so....
  12. It's confirmed as being on that format of TV I don't think we're allowed to discuss on here too.
  13. They won't be playing European football (assuming you meant champs league/europa) as they had a poor season by their standards and finished 6th I think. UEFA clearly don't want Turkish teams in there, they aren't fashionable enough and have to go through qualification rounds anyway its a joke. I guess it'll come down to wether he wants to reunite with Ismael and live in hotter climes for a while....
  14. Agreed, let's see how he gets on under JDT. Not like he'd fetch a big fee anyway at this stage and I highly doubt that Boro story holds much weight either.
  15. Not sure about that, he scored some decent goals last season. He actually reminds me of Brereton in some aspects of his style of play too, quite awkward for defenders to play against. He's a risk though given the track record of a fair few Italian imports, but Brereron would also have been a risk. Believe they want Broja too who's slightly more tested after last season
  16. West Ham have agreed a deal to spunk 35m on Scamacca, you'd have to think at this point Diaz is either staying or going abroad...
  17. It's basically come on the back of Glen speaking to Waggott and being led to believe money could be made available for a 'special' signing as far as I can see....
  18. I'm taking in addition to Diaz on the assumption he stays, if he goes then I'd be expecting more than Grabban on a free. I wouldn't want him as our main striker. You're right regarding wages, he can either accept lower, more realistic wages if he wants to stay in this country or indeed go overseas. I'd at least ask the question though...
  19. Have you ever met or reached out to Suhail for a similar meeting Glen?
  20. Still think Grabban would be perfect, adds a bit of experience too. As it stands, Ayala is our oldest outfield player and after that it's Dack! It's obviously uncertain how much either will play so we're looking at a very youthful team (not saying its a bad thing). Average age of circa 21?
  21. Quite a lengthy article posted by Sharpe, confirms the deal for a midfielder is at an advanced stage. Confirms the bid for Styles last time round was 1.5m, I reckon we'll definitely be back sniffing.
  22. I would say so considering we bid over 3m for him according to Sharpe
  23. We've started painting it at long last..
  24. I think under JDT he'll get better if anything. Potential suitors would rather him have another good season before getting their cheques out though I'd imagine. Absolutely no use to us if so....but they only need to see whats happened with Armstrong and many others before him to make them cautious. The queue for Brereton after another good season, on a free, would be a mile long.
  25. Van Hecke has had some game time for Brighton in pre season and has impressed Potter by all accounts. He hasn't fully discounted sending him out on loan though. IF and its a big IF he's made available, you'd expect it to be late business but you'd expect us to be at the front of the queue (if indeed JDT/Broughton want him)
