At this point I just have to admit we can start feeling sorry for ourselves. The amount of injuries - to crucial, vital players we sustain is absurd, no manager can cope with this. Needing to have Bennett come on at RB is like conceding a red card and a penalty.
-
I don't believe it is simply a lack of confidence that is his problem. He is desperately lacking in even the basic fundementals of the game, such as ball control. TM keeps giving him chances so you desperately want to believe there is some hidden talent burried in there somewhere, but I can not even imagine what that would be.

January transfer window 2020

Did Liveprool really buy Minamino for 7.25 million? While Brereton cost us 10 million. How is this possible. -

In hindsight yes this is true. Unlikely, I realize, that he can regain stamina at this age. But we desperately miss someone good at set pieces who can put a proper cross in. If there is anything there, I just wish for TM to keep an open mind in the week of training. -

Um if MGP is looking for a club and is training with us why the hell are we not offering him a temporary contract? I have no idea what shape he is in but anyone at this point will be better than playing our target man as a winger. -
Do we blame our strikers for being shite and missing so much, or TM for playing them out of position over and over again destroying the team balance and confidence? Chicken or the egg.
-
No hint of pressure on him I see. Venkys have no plans for promotion or long term sustainability, they are probably trying to find an escape plan to get rid of us without losing too much more money. Mowbray would rightfully be gone from any club with ambitions, but his place is secure here.
-
One of the most pathetic losses a team can possibly produce. If Mowbray doesn't fuck off after this he doesnt deserve an ounce of respect for the rest of his career. Doesnt matter what happens after this. He just needs to leave now.
-
If we are forfeiting goalkeeping for the day why not give one of the youngsters a try? We have seen everything there is to see from Leutwiler.
-
I would appreciate TM "telling it like it is" about the lack of budget if at least he had some kind of plan for the squad, or had ideas about how to motivate them when the going is tough now. But instead all he can do is analyze how shit we are without Dack, and shrug. That's great Tony, but what are you paid for then? Other than to play players out of position? He has no plan B for injuries, clearly brings 0 motivation for the squad, and plays talent out of position. In what way would we be worse without a manager?
-
From Venkys perspective though it is hard to understand, surely they will make more money if we are back in the Premiership? Even if they have to choose a manager that is a bit more annoying (for them) to work with, surely from a business standpoint that is worth the hassle for getting back to the Premiership? They are losing millions every year on us, from what I understand. Are they happy to be in the Championship forever? If so, then it makes sense for them to keep Mowbray. But if not, if they want more profit from this club and want to be in the Premiership - surely there is absolutely no sense or reason in believing that Mowbray can somehow deliver that?
-
Is there anyone - anyone at all above Mowbray at the club who understands absolutely anything about football? My wager is no, because why else is Mowbray employed. I believe we would actually be better with no manager as I don't believe the players collectively would ever agree to Bennett starting at RB or any of the other stubborn stupid nonsense that keeps costing us points. We are at the mercy of whoever is running this club but there seems to be nothing but pure incompetence at every level.

Shocking amount of individual mistakes; shocking team selection. But TM will never accept an ounce of responsibility because his Dack injury excuse will always be his get out of jail free card. Dark times ahead. -

As expected, Bennett is absolutely slaughtering us at RB. The worst player we have ever had in that position. Thanks Tony. -

If Gallagher is out wide we are in big trouble. And if Bennett is at RB Mowbray needs to be arrested, for what I don't know, but surely this is an arrestable decision after all we have been through. -
January transfer window 2020

Well if TM wants to buy a ready made proven replacement obviously it will be too much money. No one expects that. But we need to at least try with a foreign diamond in the rough or lower league but rising talent. It is not serious at all to believe Rothwell or Brereton or something will do the job. If anyone believes that they seriously underestimate just how much Dack brings to the team beside goals. -

Well, never mind then. TM just said there is no money for a replacement. Which pretty much means we will slug through the rest of this season and possibly get relegated the next. You know, unless Brereton starts playing like Ronaldo or some nonsense like that. The only hope is Venkys dont pull the plug before Dack is back in top form. -

Crisis moment now with Dack gone. TM has disappointed time and time and time again in the transfer window, then always comes out with stories about how many great players we were supposedly just about to sign, but they fell through last moment. Well no more room for error now. We need some fantastic hidden gem business this January or we are going to sink very, very hard. -
Wow. This is a straight-out, limbs-stretched wide knockout. An absolute knockout. We have to gamble, we have to try and find the untested, unknown diamond in the rough in January and hope for a miracle to replace Dack. There is no alternative. No one - not one staff member, not one fan can believe the current team without Dack can challenge for promotion.
-
As clueless as Mowbray is, I'm done with this forward line as well. The whole lot of them need to go. Wherever you play them, right or wrong positions, the fact of the matter is they are not good enough and thats it. Just an all around lack of quality. Good for them that they can score on a counter away from home when the other team is open and attacking - sorry but thats no achievement. They need to go but they won't because of TM's stubborn "loyalty."

Wigan Athletic (H) - Monday Night Football (urgh..)
Mr. E replied to a topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
If you don't laugh you'll cry. TM had no answer - absolutely none - to a team packing men behind the ball and playing on the counter. Some bad luck/very bad games by a number of individuals, yes, but tactically we simply crashed head first into a brick wall. Something you could see coming 100 miles away, but again, no answer to the challenge at all. -

We are trying to put pressure on Wigan when they have the ball, but are getting our passes constantly wrong, and Wigan are putting together some dangerous counters. We're getting pushed out to the flanks and can't break through. Game under Wigan's control at the moment. Williams' passing has been atrocious, some of the worst I have seen, and has almost led to goals. Wigan are out here for a scrap and a fight and we need Johnson on instead of Evans. -

The only preparation I'd make for this match is print out on paper 1-2 Luton and 1-2 Charlton and staple it to the backsides and foreheads of every one of our squad members. Double-staple them for good measure. -
In terms of contribution to the team, probably Dack or Rhodes. In terms of pure talent...possibly Santa Cruz.
