  1. There is a statement from the Chair of the Fans Forum attached to the club statement on the website. I'm with JoeH. The particular focus right now is on the specific incident on Saturday. But anyone who has been to away games in recent months knows that fan behaviour is a growing problem amongst a certain minority of Rovers fans. It's not racism in most cases but there is plenty of pretty disgusting behaviour happening. It is very much a minority and I don't think it's specifically a Rovers problem but it's very much there and needs highlighting.
  2. It's also because Birmingham are playing WBA on Friday 10th.
  3. And all in front of about 10,000 fans.
  4. There are 10.05 (Air France)and 10.55 (EasyJet) arrivals from Paris but none at 11.50.
  5. If that's true then he's flying in from either Copenhagen or Istanbul.
  6. Paul Fielder is Head of Commercial, effectively the same thing.
  7. On the other hand Forest should be a more attractive opposition than Big Club as a Premier League team. And whilst the Forest game was midweek it was right before Christmas when the kids were out of school.
  8. On Monday evening Birmingham had sold more tickets for this game than Rovers. There will obviously be a late rush at the reduced price and it will end up a decent crowd but there's no way there is going to be chaos.
  9. He’s at Reading, although injured today.
  10. Clearly they didn’t.
  11. It’s probable that there will be cheap tickets now. Steve said at the Fans Forum last week that Forest Green would probably have wanted to make some money but he expected he could do a deal with Big Club.
  12. If we’re being literal it was Mike Cheston, not Steve Waggott.
  13. Staffing does continue to be a problem at Ewood, as was noted in the minutes. It’s a problem right across the hospitality industry so it’s hardly surprising that Rovers are suffering too. The workforce are obviously casual with work just on odd days. Unsurprisingly it was a real issue at the Cardiff game, when I guess a lot of the casual staff looked at their alarm early on New Year’s Day and rolled over.
  14. I’m pretty sure I’ve got it right and the LET are wrong - just under 9,300 including half STs.
  15. We will just have to disagree on that. I thought that he was mostly bloody awful. He had virtually no defensive capability and went missing for large parts of games. He was always good for the occasional run at defenders gliding past a few before giving the ball away. He wouldn't get near a JDT team. He's not near the Bournemouth team either - 140 minutes in total in 3 games, two of them in the cups. But he does have a presumably well paid 4 year contract.
  16. That's true but I'm still with Tyrone.
  17. I think he probably is, but more because of Rothwell's failings. The archetypal show pony, having a great game about 1 in every 10 but still having little end product. He managed 11 goals for Rovers in 4 full seasons, when he played 30+ games in each. Szmodics has 3 in 16 games, many of which he didn't play all game. I See Rothwell didn't even get beyond half time in Bournemouth's side against the dingles on Saturday.
  18. According to the PL2 website Fyles won it with a penalty, our only shot on target.
  19. Whether Malaysians want to watch our cup tie it will be broadcast to them, as all FA Cup games are these days. Clearly we won't be a live TV game here but the odds must be about evens on whether it's 3pm on Saturday or 2pm on Sunday.
  20. You’re right TS. I saw the claim on a Big Club site that we had never beaten them and then checked it on what was obviously a rubbish web site. We’ve played each other 4 times in the FA cup, twice in the 30s and twice this century, and lost them all.
  21. Rovers have never beaten Big Club in the FA cup. Mind you, we’ve only played them once. And obviously we’ve never beaten Forest Green either.
