There was some truly moronic behaviour from our "fans" on Saturday. There was a lot of booing around me when both teams were taking the knee. I know there has always been a few who have booed at Ewood but that's generally been drowned out by applause. At half time coming out of the gents my son and I got a full pint of beer on our heads. The moronic fans are always prominent at our local away games and especially if the tickets are cheap. After the game waiting to get out of the car park I saw police chase, catch and thump a couple of fans. I've no idea what they have done but they were certainly resisting a chat. In fairness they could have been Wigan fans as no colours - I was parked in the big car park behind the Boston stand as it's quicker to get out of than the away car park.

I think that there probably a difference between allowing unrestricted contact between fans and players and a short planned film where one player meets a couple of fans outside with some separation. You clearly couldn’t allow Diaz to do what he did at full time tomorrow for example.

The situation last night was a carbon copy of the Bournemouth game. Khadra had hardly been in the game and Gallagher came on to replace him. He was a constant outlet from the Bournemouth pressure, holding the ball up, taking the pressure off the defence and allowing us to build moves. I would Imagine that Mowbray wanted him on to the same last night but it didn't work apart from that shot that nearly knocked the Barnsley keeper out.

That quote is from a press release on 22/12 from Barnsley, last Wednesday.

It’s hardly surprising that lots of footballers are testing positive as the virus is all around us. More of them are being picked up because they are being tested everyday and most of the general population aren’t. There are thousands, possibly millions who currently have Covid but don’t realise as they have no symptoms or are mistaking a bit of a cough or a runny nose for a cold. I’m willing to bet there will be a fair number of the 3,000 Rovers fans who should have been at the game who will have the virus unknowingly.

I thought Middlesbrough were pretty average today. They had a huge percentage of the first half yet the only goal was a comedy own goal. I think it’s likely that both teams will be there or thereabouts at the end of the season but neither looked great on today’s performance.

I would imagine that there will be a round of testing in the morning - that will presumably be the key point.
