  1. Just arrived home now. Our next Forum is on Tuesday and I will reissue an agenda this afternoon with a new item about today's game. I'm not sure there will be much need for grilling though having heard Steve's interview on Radio Lancs on the way back - he and the club are clearly as pissed off with the referee as we all are. The feeling on Radio Lancs was that the ball was not bouncing high enough in certain spots because of some lying water, although everyone seemed to be of the opinion that the pitch was in better condition than for Preston. Given conditions in that game improved markedly in the second half the sensible decision would have been to delay the kick off to 3.30 or 4pm, by which time I'm sure the conditions would have been fine. Right now there is not a cloud in the sky in Penwortham. Steve also said that he had instructed the kiosks to give all the Millwall fans some free food and drink before they set off home. He admitted it was only a small gesture but it was good to hear.
  2. As far as I can see the Met Office forecast has been spot on today - rain/sleet turning to snow for a bit before stopping between 12 and 1 and warming up a bit.
  3. Well nothing's gone wrong yet after 4.5 years. In general maintenance costs are much less than ICE as there are far fewer parts to go wrong.
  4. Well if Forest are out of form when the rearranged match takes place they won't be an issue for us will they? Both sides are competing with us.
  5. I think it's excellent for Rovers. Bournemouth now have to fit three more games into the remaining weeks of the season so will be playing twice a week for most of the time.
  6. It is in Preston too now, but it's forecast to stop in a couple of hours. I can see many of the 471 Millwall fans not making it today.
  7. Bournemouth game off - wind damage to the ground.
  8. What have you got Gav? We have had a Renault Zoe as a second car for 4.5 years and we use it for the majority of the time - it's just wonderful. We also have a petrol car that is due to be replaced in September and I will be getting another electric and like you I can't see me ever buying another petrol or diesel car.
  9. It's already on the agenda and in general terms it has been for a number of meetings.
  10. There is plenty of rain forecast tomorrow but with gale force winds that shouldn't be too much of an issue. What could be is that rain is forecast from 12pm to 6pm on Saturday i.e. right across the game. The ground sits in the bottom of a valley so a lot of rain in a short time is going to be an issue whatever the quality of the pitch.
  11. Was it empty Gav? I don’t know, but it didn’t look empty to me, either when it came on to the pitch or when Johnson threw it back.
  12. I think it's possible to easily predict where there is going to be trouble at away games. I've been to 4 away games so far this season - Stoke, Bournemouth, Wigan and Luton. The only game that was really messy was Wigan - cheap tickets and a short easy journey by train. Bournemouth and Luton both miles away with a small allocation snapped up by regular ST holders, no problem at all. Stoke somewhere in between but I don't recall any issues. You can almost guarantee that there will be problems when we go to Deepdale and maybe Birmingham if the game is important The issues in NO1 I didn't know about until I read above. There doesn't seem to be an issue looking at it from my seat in the JW Upper. But if there is a situation where fans from elsewhere in the BE Lower are moving into the top of NO1 to get into the singing area then that's an issue that needs sorting out. As Darrenrover says I wouldn't want to demonise fans who just want to make a noise and support the team so we need to find them somewhere to go where they won't upset fans who have sat (or stood) in NO1 since the stand was built. This Saturday would be the perfect time to let them go en masse into the Darwen End where there will be plenty of space and they won't upset other ticket holders.
  13. QPR now have 5 points from the last 5 and the only win was against Reading.
  14. I presume that they won't be un less they bring more than 1,500 (very unlikely) or we sell more than 2,500 (again unlikely). Although you would imagine that most of those buying tickets will buy in the Darwen End unless they can't make the QPR game anyway.
  15. Well the Rovers update said that they were hopeful that it was just a knock but he was having a scan - that could have come back negative.
  16. No it wasn't. Geoff66 said it was 8 games since BBD scored and you pointed out that it was 9 with Wigan. I agree 6 and a bit is still not good but it's not the same as 9.
  17. It was a bit difficult for Ben to be scoring for us when he was in South America (and he got 1 there). He has only played in 6 games since Barnsley plus 30 minutes at Swansea.
  18. Reasonably positive - https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2022/february/15/injury-update--ben-brereton-diaz-and-daniel-ayala/
  19. I don't think they see it as a replication but the team management would certainly like there to be Rovers fans at both ends of the ground.
  20. Maybe tonight, but I'm not sure they will over the rest of the season and WBA still have to play most of them. Much as I dislike Bruce (as should every Rovers fan after what he said about us when Kean left) he will probably improve them over the next few weeks. Mind you the next two for them aren't going to be pretty, away at Luton and Boro.
  21. Nyambe had a great game but I had Wharton as man of the match - he didn’t put a foot wrong and can pass the ball out.
  22. Ayala injured in the warm up, so Joe Rankin-Costello in for him.
