  1. There’s a link in the Academy thread to an 18 year old who Everton are releasing, who hasn’t played for the first team. It’s just another lad being brought into the Academy to see how he does. May turn out to be a Dolan or one of the many others who didn’t make the grade.
  2. I’ve been parking in and around Mill Hill for around 50 years and have only once had a problem. Parked just on the other side of the canal bridge on Albion St (when you were still allowed) someone broke a rear window to pinch 3 bags - unfortunately them they only had wet towels and trunks as I had taken my the young lads to Waves before a game. I’ve never seen any other issues parking just outside the restricted signs. But at least once every season I have seen car windows broken on Albion St between the canal and Livesey Branch Road - don’t park there.
  3. I think it was Deepdale that 1864 Roverite was referring to.
  4. Ayala scored one at home against Hull early on in the season. And then there was Dolan against Derby, albeit from Dack's cross from a corner rather than straight from the corner kick. Adding Wharton's at Coventry and Van Hecke's at Bournemouth and 5 doesn't seem too bad to me. And there have been some headed goals from free kicks as well.
  5. Train at 18.22 getting to Preston at 18.40. It will be rammed mind......
  6. I thought there was a fair chance of the Bournemouth game being moved for Sky but clearly not.
  7. Not that hard Rigger. Won 2-0 with goals from Vale after 4 mins and Brennan after 94. 8 unbeaten and the form team in the league with 4 wins and a draw in the last 5.
  8. Should Everton go down they will be in danger of a complete collapse. A big new stadium to pay for, losing Usmanov’s sponsorship money and apparently none of the players have relegation clauses in their contracts.
  9. Apologies - I had somehow moved from the Rovers game to the QPR one! We do indeed have all the stand.
  10. That's curious, as I looked on the PNE website just before and could buy seats in 3 blocks of the Bill Shankly stand.
  11. As an aside I see that North End are continuing to put home fans in to the Bill Shankly fans reducing the capacity for away fans. I had assumed that they were just doing it as a tit for tat for the Blackpool game for when they gave them less tickets than us for the reverse fixture. So the allocation for Rovers fans will be much reduced.
  12. One possible advantage we might have is that Blackpool have their real derby against the nobbers tonight. I was in Preston at 3pm and there were already police all over the place.
  13. It's a bit previous to be writing off a player like Hedges who has played less than 1.5 games so far in total minutes with only one start.
  14. I watched the last 20 minutes or so of the QPR game and they never remotely looked like scoring in that time, against the worst defence in the league, one which specialises in conceding late goals.
  15. Sorry Gav, I read it as both were gone!
  16. Gav - Mavis Staples is still alive at a sprightly 82.
  17. He fooled you there Chaddy.
  18. Yes - why would you think they didn't?
  19. Nowt Gav. Stokes might yet make 100 in a session.
  20. Err no, 16th just below Swansea. Although to be fair, as well as the points deduction, they have suffered from not being able to bring players in and losing a few.
  21. The old adage is that if two teams who are competing with you play each other then the best result is a draw, preferably 0-0. For me that currently includes any team as far down as PNE in 14th place.
  22. You did Matty. I was just about to question your post saying the next 2 home games were Cat A as i saw the ads as well.
  23. I think that is fairly clearly telling fans what to do, even if you have since posted the opposite.
  24. I'd agree. As far as I could see we had three penalty shouts. The one that was given, looked straightforward when I saw it in real time wasn't one looking back at the replays. Khadra's was never a penalty and rightly not given. There was one other off the ball incident that i missed as I was watching the ball - on seeing it on the TV it was a penalty. But in Ward's defence he, like me, was watching the ball. So the one we got we shouldn't have but we should have had a different one. And with such a poor shot we didn't deserve to score it anyway. The one thing Ward missed was the two handed shove right on the touchline and yards from the technical area.
  25. I don’t know where you’re getting those numbers but they’re wrong. This will be our 50th meeting. The current record is 15 wins, 13 draws and 19 defeats in the League and a win and a loss in the FA Cup.
