  1. Well I’m damned certain he did. He played in exactly the same position as Diaz has done starting for us over the last couple of months and he has in his sub appearances. Up front as a two with Khadra slightly wide either side of the centre with Buckley as a false 9 just behind them in the middle. It’s not a winger position but it’s not a centre forward either.
  2. Looking at a Boro forum they are considerably less confident than we might expect and most would be happy with a draw. There seems to be a feeling that a number of late goals in recent games have masked some very average performances. They reckon that they haven't played well since beating Forest on Boxing Day. I saw some chunks of that game and didn't think they looked very impressive even then.
  3. Ranieri sacked in least surprising football news story of the week.
  4. I do! Cesay and Omole were sent off for Spurs and Garrett for Rovers. Cesay was their number 2.
  5. Yes it has - Rovers announced it yesterday - https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2022/january/18/brereton-diaz-selected-for-la-roja-double-header/
  6. By the time the game was called out it was scheduled for TV coverage, replacing another postponed game.
  7. Apart from Luton away and Millwall at home all our games through to the end of February are on Sky.
  8. Is that for Swansea or Luton arbitro? With Swansea I think they start with 1,000 but can increase to 2,000. Luton is about 1,000 in total given the size of the stadium.
  9. I very much doubt that this is an issue with Swansea, given the distance, the fact that it's a 5.30pm kick-off and that it's live on Sky. The routine allocation is 2,000 and I would be amazed if we get beyond that given the circumstances. It would have been more of an issue when the Luton game tickets went on sale and sold out very quickly - I would hope that they were restricted to ST holders.
  10. The pitch is just having a three week break from any games.
  11. It’s a quite reassuring outcome for me. I was beginning to look at Sheffield United as a possible dark horse after 4 wins on the spin but after losing at Derby they have now thrown away a 2-0 lead against 10 men.
  12. You were perhaps a bit premature there Simon……..
  13. I doubt the oxygen tank will be much use tomorrow night - Hull's ground is a princely 6 feet above sea level.
  14. Not really. Over the last 5 games Boro and Derby have the same record as us - 4 wins and a draw. Derby's good run will be good for us if they beat the odd rival. Sheffield United were in that category with 4 wins in a row until Derby beat them on Saturday. QPR have 3 in a row but 2 defeats before that.
  15. Arsenal have been relegated as well, in 1913. Everton currently hold the record for most seasons in the top Division, although they have been relegated twice, in 1930-31 and from 1951 to 1954.
  16. I imagine he will be no nearer than the bench for a few weeks at least.
  17. You're right, although only by about 18 inches and it hasn't been updated on Wikipedia.
  18. He should be great at West Brom then, the highest ground in the league.
