  1. In other A league news I see Matt Derbyshire scored for Macarthur FC yesterday.
  2. Yes. I wasn't saying that they were a better team, just that it's more than half a new team we will be playing. For what it's worth it sounds like they played OK on Saturday but gave away a soft own goal in the first minute and then missed their chances.
  3. What is certain is that this will be a very different North End team than the one we played in November. They made 8 signings in the transfer window and last Saturday 6 of them started the game with another coming on as a sub.
  4. It took a little while to process the payment. The picture is fine now but I have no sound.
  5. It's on ManuTV but you will have to pay for it.
  6. But your season ticket wouldn't have given you access to those games you have paid for. In a normal season you wouldn't have shelled out the £100 but then you wouldn't have seen the games (not legally anyway). If you buy a ticket from Rovers for an away game like tomorrow the club make money for it just the same as an individual match pass for a home game i.e £8.33 (£10 less VAT).
  7. The BBC Cricket Social online is a decent substitute and worlds better than TalkSport.
  8. It was arbitro. The report reminded me of it - he jumped out of the way of a lunge by a Wigan player and got a second yellow for simulation.
  9. I looked back at the record of the game on the Rovers website to make sure I had the facts right. The report said that as a result we ended up with 9 men on the pitch. It might well be that he stayed on for a while and exacerbated the injury but by the end he was off.
  10. A self-inflicted injury that was and one of the most stupid I've seen in the last few years. It was in the last few minutes at Wigan in the League 1 season. Bennett had been sent off and it was 0-0 so we were trying to see the game out. Chapman had the ball by our left wing corner flag and tried to beat a Wigan player instead of just thumping it away. He lost the ball and dived into the Wigan player to get it back,. A foul to Wigan and he had to go off leaving us with 9 men for the last few minutes. He then missed the rest of that season.
  11. Steve Waggott told us in confidence at the last Fans Forum on 18/1 and since then Mowbray and the Sky commentator have both mentioned it.
  12. Finished 3-1 to Rovers, who go top of the table. I didn't see the whole game. Nolan came on as a second half sub for Evans and I thought he looked very neat and tidy in central midfield. His goal was just being in the right place to put away after Dack and someone else had made heavy weather of good chances.
  13. 3-1 now with 5 minutes to play - Dack. Looks like he'll get a full 90 minutes.
  14. Leicester started the second half well and equalised quickly but Joe Nolan has just put Rovers back in front.
  15. That'll be a tough challenge - Leicester are playing their under 23s.
  16. That would suggest they have given up on Kipre as a replacement for Davies?
  17. Bauer is out for the season. One reason they are in the market for Kipre.
  18. As far as I'm aware they have sold Fisher for an undisclosed (probably pretty small) fee and Pearson is likely to go to Bournemouth - again I can't see a huge fee there. Probably these will cover Whiteman's fee. Davies is reported to be signing a pre-contract with Celtic at the end of his contract so no fee there. Browne has signed a new contract and Johnson is likely to as well.
  19. He appears to have been on the bench tonight, unless they have another Hilton.
  20. Certainly Oldham for me. I remember a game on a Friday night with my lads who would have been quite young so early 90s would fit.
  21. Two very impressive result for Stanley and Morecambe last night. Stanley beating Hull, who were top of the table at kick-off. They are 4 points from the play-offs with 3,4 or 5 games in hand on everyone above them except Doncaster. Morecambe won 2-0 away at Exeter and are now in the third automatic promotion slot. There are a couple of teams with games in hand behind then but still impressive given their resources.
