  1. I thought the idea was that the process was quick enough for a decision to be made before the next game. I guess there is still time yet.
  2. The game preview on the club site 3 hours ago said that they were still waiting for the outcome of Lenihan's appeal.
  3. I thought the same but I think arbitro said in the Brentford thread that wasn't an option for a red card appeal - it's uphold or rescind.
  4. The Spurs website does have a profile of him. It doesn't mention who his Dad is but does say he was born in Barcelona and has lived in Paris and Southampton, so presumably yes!
  5. There was a fascinating article in yesterday's Observer about the effect of crowds on home performance. The conclusion that having a crowd only improved a home team's result by 3%. But there was a significant increase in the number of cards given by the referee with a crowd compared to BCD In our first game with fans in it for months on Saturday we committed 8 fouls and picked up 6 cards. Brentford committed 11 and got three yellows. The good news is that, unless the Tiers change, we won't be playing in front of a crowd away from home in the league until QPR on 6th Feb.
  6. I went to the Spurs website earlier to see if they were doing any reporting. I was amazed to find that they have one page with pictures of the U23 players with biographies behind them, the table page has last year's table on it and the stats page is blank. No articles whatsoever about their team. Clearly not Mourinho's priority.
  7. As I've already said a couple of times iFollow has worked very well for me. The only really irritating game was at Luton where the camera angle was very low (can't do much about that) and the camera work was terrible (Luton could fix that). Yesterday I didn't have Rovers commentary for a few minutes but the away was working fine. I tend to toggle between them a bit to get a different view - the 5/10 minutes I listened to the Millwall commentaries they were very fair. I'll be back in the ground as soon as I can but for now iFollow is the next best thing.
  8. Whether Pike's ready or not he may well get his chance soon. I would expect him to be at least on the bench on Wednesday and if Lenihan's ban is not overturned he might have to play if Nyambe is needed at centre back. As long as he doesn't tell anyone his name he should be OK. Whatever you feel about Buckley (and there seem to be some wildly differing opinions), I can't see any justification for being really hard on him for yesterday. Surely no one believes he's the ideal right back and I'm sure he won't have asked to play there but been told.
  9. OK fair enough. An appeal is therefore well worth going for as there doesn't seem to be a downside.
  10. There were fans in the stand where the camera was as well.
  11. arbitro - would the possible outcome not be reducing the red to a yellow, which with the other one would still leave us with a one match suspension? Although presumably it would rub out the yellow card agaunst his total?
  12. Not in this situation. Generally it’s only 3 for dangerous play. Disclaimer: there might be other reasons too!
  13. It’s only one game suspension, whether it was two yellows or a straight red. I presume the first yellow then counts towards him getting to 5 for another suspension, which he must be on his way to as well.
  14. They're allowed 2,000. Maybe they are choosing only to let in 1,000, but they can have 2,000 in Tier 2.
  15. There does seem to be a big divergence of opinion on Buckley. I generally like what I see most of the time and on the Millwall thread there were another couple of posters who agreed with me and a couple with you. What can’t really be argued was his play in the winning goal move.
  16. Very early in Missouri, where it’s currently just after 8am. Or maybe it’s still from last night?
  17. Apart from Wednesday when he came on and played excellently including having a hand in creating the winning goal?
  18. Yes - Preston were above us when we played them, although not after! I had a quick look at a Brentford message board and they are no more confident than our fans - many would be happy with a draw.
  19. If an offer comes in that we can’t refuse we won’t. It’s as simple as that. I hope he doesn’t go either but every club has a price for every player, except at the very top, one or two clubs.
  20. Blackburn with Darwen and Blackpool are separate unitary authorities and therefore administratively outside Lancashire and do all local authority services themselves. Other boroughs in Lancashire operate some services whilst others are delivered at county level. Given that both are surrounded by other parts of Lancashire, I don't think it it really makes any difference regarding the pandemic and how the tiers are being calculated.
  21. There seems to have been a bit of controversy in that win Riversider. India made a concussion substitution at the interval replacing Ravindra Jadeja with spinner Yuzvendra Chalal. Jadeja had been hit on the head batting but carries on to make 44 from 23 balls. Then Chalal bowled and took 3-25. You might assume that if concussion was an issue that he should have left the field straightaway.
  22. I've only seen him in about half of the under 23s game against Brighton. I wasn't terribly impressed but I can't put too much weight on that, especially as playing against 10 men in the second half he had no defending to do.
  23. This should all probably be on the Coronavirus thread rather than here but you need to remember that the tier classification is about the situation in local hospitals and the infection rate in over 60s as well as the overall infection rate. I guess that places like Ribble Valley, whilst having low rates, have an older population and are also dependent on the hospitals in Preston, Blackburn and Burnley.
  24. I agree that the club do not want to sell anyone but there will be a price at which they will sell Armstrong. Whether that will happen will depend on the desperation of Premier league clubs.
