  1. The Welsh Government have just done it without the Senedd sitting. Waiting until Westminster resumes will be far, far too late.
  2. You're right - I was confusing the two weekend schedules.
  3. We are currently exactly half way through the season - way too soon to be making predictions one way or the other.
  4. I would be very wary of underestimating Hull - they have been on decent form of late and gave Forest a good game on Saturday. They are on an upward trajectory compared to Big Club who are heading the other way. Whilst not complaining about Fulham losing I am always of the view that when two rivals play (and at least half of the league still are) then a draw is always the best result. The Blades have won four in a row now.
  5. Apart from the 3 posts above then? Anyway I would have thought that discussing the likelihood or not of matches going behind closed doors was a relevant one for the attendances thread. Covid was clearly a factor in Saturday’s attendance figure.
  6. Funny, I thought I was more than safe last weekend, but I seem to have caught it. How the hell did that happen? If the Government tells the PL and EFL to shut grounds they will Anyway shutting football grounds isn’t lockdown.
  7. There’s no potentially about it - Fulham don’t play until Monday. We just need to win by 18 clear goals to be clear on top….
  8. Changing the law does and I can’t see that happening before next week as the Government are absolutely desperate to avoid any new restrictions before Christmas. But presumably they could just ask the PL and EFL to close grounds to fans ahead of a law change and it would be almost impossible for them not to.
  9. It’s pretty difficult to argue against though Chaddy. Given the current numbers it is hard to see how you can justify letting thousands of people gather together in close proximity plus all the associated non essential travel. I know you will argue it’s safe because it’s outside but everyone spends a couple of hours right next to a lot of people many of whom are shouting and singing. There also appears to be some evidence building that Omicron is more infectious than previous variants in outdoor settings as it hangs around in the air longer.
  10. That was the original Wimbledon before they moved to Milton Keynes. AFC Wimbledon were only founded in 2002.
  11. It must be a late decision then as Sky still have it red button on their website.
  12. Fair enough although before my positive test I had already decided not to go.
  13. Yes we were. But Khadra had had a poor game, unable to get involved and as a result we were finding it hard to keep possession higher up the pitch. Gallagher came on playing wide right and was a constant outlet, keeping hold of the ball and relieving any pressure on the defence. If led to Rovers seeing the game out very comfortably. Some times you need to make adjustments depending on the circumstances on the day and no team can get promoted based just on a first choice eleven.
  14. I’m not sure it’s a last minute decision Gav. The damn Sky contract allows them to show any game not at 3pm on Saturday. Although I notice that the home game with Barnsley isn’t listed as red button yet anyway.
  15. Eh? I only said the chance to watch Rovers on the red button will cheer me up at the end of my 10 day self-isolation. It's hardly on a comment on Covid is it?
  16. I wasn't at Saturday's game but he made a big difference when he came on for Khadra at Bournemouth.
  17. Conversely that's great news for me. It's my last day of self isolation so makes up a smidgen for the rest of Christmas being messed up.
  18. I did - what is your point?
  19. We will probably need more than 60 points by the end of February. From then there are only 11 games left. To match our first half and end up with 84 points we would need to get 24 from those last 11. That’s a big ask given there are always odd results as everyone gets desperate. 84 should see us safe in the play-offs but most years we would need more for automatic promotion. But we do have 6 more games before February starts and we could easily get 12 points from them
  20. It doesn’t make a lot of difference what Rick Parry thinks as it’s not up to him. I don’t think it’s an absolute done deal yet but the odds of some form of significant restrictions coming in after Christmas are getting higher every day.
  21. I’ve had some spectacular hangovers in my time K-Hod but I’ve never been that bad.
  22. 12,146. Remember all the ST holders are counted whether they are there or not
  23. He can't get back in ahead of the current back 3. Ayala came on for Wharton at Bournemouth so i assume he's fully fit.
  24. I thought you went straight to your seats? With the Villa v Burnley game off we’re now the highest placed club in England kicking off at 3 pm so I think we can expect plenty of media coverage, which is usually a bad omen for Rovers.
  25. Me too Tom. I made my decision a few days ago when my wife tested positive but my PCR test yesterday was positive too, so now I'm grounded until after Christmas. Whilst it's everyone's personal decision as to whether to go or not I would just point out that there are bound to be some of you who pick up the virus today and if you do anything you have planned for next weekend will be buggered up.
