We are currently exactly half way through the season - way too soon to be making predictions one way or the other.

I would be very wary of underestimating Hull - they have been on decent form of late and gave Forest a good game on Saturday. They are on an upward trajectory compared to Big Club who are heading the other way. Whilst not complaining about Fulham losing I am always of the view that when two rivals play (and at least half of the league still are) then a draw is always the best result. The Blades have won four in a row now.

Given the current numbers it is hard to see how you can justify letting thousands of people gather together in close proximity plus all the associated non essential travel. I know you will argue it’s safe because it’s outside but everyone spends a couple of hours right next to a lot of people many of whom are shouting and singing. There also appears to be some evidence building that Omicron is more infectious than previous variants in outdoor settings as it hangs around in the air longer.

We will probably need more than 60 points by the end of February. From then there are only 11 games left. To match our first half and end up with 84 points we would need to get 24 from those last 11. That’s a big ask given there are always odd results as everyone gets desperate. 84 should see us safe in the play-offs but most years we would need more for automatic promotion. But we do have 6 more games before February starts and we could easily get 12 points from them

It doesn’t make a lot of difference what Rick Parry thinks as it’s not up to him. I don’t think it’s an absolute done deal yet but the odds of some form of significant restrictions coming in after Christmas are getting higher every day.

Me too Tom. I made my decision a few days ago when my wife tested positive but my PCR test yesterday was positive too, so now I'm grounded until after Christmas.
