  1. I get irritated by the use of dessert even if it's spelt correctly. It always seems an Americanism to me used as a replacement for pudding.
  2. The brfcs rep on the Fans Forum (kHod) was invited and was actually planning to attend. He didn't but I imagine it may have been work getting in the way as it did with a few others. OldEwoodBlue - I would imagine there are quite a few people who attended who would deeply resent being classed as "nodding dogs", me included. It's very easy to sit behind a keyboard and make accusations.
  3. I've no idea exactly who was invited, but your claim that it "was clearly not any of the recognised supporter groups" is ridiculous. I know for a fact that the Rovers Trust, Proud Rovers, Ewood Blues, Disabled Supporters, brfcs and I think the London Supporters Group were all invited. No doubt there are other groups which may or may not have been invited as well.
  4. There is nothing set up as yet, but there is a Fans Forum due on 10th May, where no doubt it will be high on the agenda.
  5. We have talked about a rolling ST on a direct debit before a few times Rev and your recollection is right about the club's reaction. However we were talking on Thursday about it being another option for anyone that wanted to rather than a change for everyone. I'm fairly sure that there will be a core of fans who would be interested in something like this. If introduced though it needs to cost neither no more or no less than the standard up front payment.
  6. No minutes taken as it was an informal session. Lynsey did record the meeting so that Greg and Mike can have the chance to go back over the comments. I think the club are very well aware of the precarious situation, although they were reminded of it from several attendees. Some of the topics covered were the £3 extra fee for late match ticket purchasers (again), a rolling ST, a ST for fewer than 23 games, iFollow plans for 21/22, protection of reserved seats, the possible reluctance of some fans to come whilst the pandemic is around, discounted games early in the season etc.
  7. I think this was just a chance for the team who develop the ST package having a chance to listen to the concerns of fans in what is a very difficult situation. Not so much about the current team performances which obviously have a big effect on ST sales (but which Greg and Mike have no input on) but more about the effect of the pandemic on plans.
  8. This was NOT the normal supporters consultation meeting. It was a consultation with fans over Zoom about the club's approach to next year's season tickets. Fans Forum members were invited but the club also invited others too. I flagged the meeting up on the Fans Forum thread a couple of weeks ago when a question was asked about fans consultation in that thread. There were no answers provided - it was very much the club wanting to gauge fans' opinions on how sales should best be handled. The club was represented by Greg Coar and Mike Graveston from the Commercial team and Lynsey Talbot.
  9. Hayden Carter scored again last night for Burton. He's been an ever present since going on loan in January - 18 games, 12 wins, 2 draws and 4 defeats. He's scored 4 himself and the defence with him in it have conceded only 10.
  10. Probably the weirdest reason for a fixture to be moved for this game. It was originally scheduled to be at Hove but they have an infestation of daddy longlegs on the outfield!
  11. Clearly the Forum is meant as a consultative body so there is no real power, but it is an opportunity to raise issues and to regularly question the club's senior management. Over time we have had some influence on the decisions the club made, for example on the introduction of the unreserved seating (aka standing) area in the Darwen end. The meeting to talk about next year's season tickets next week came about from a discussion at the January FF meeting. We could go down one of two ways - be confrontational and shout and bawl or try to discuss in a reasonable manner. I get the impression that many posters on here would want us to take the former approach, but i can assure them all that all that will lead to is the cessation of the meetings. Is it ideal - no. Would I like it to be a meeting of equals where we could genuinely effect change - yes. But that's only going to happen at a fan-owned club and even then I suspect that actual power in that situation would still sit with appointed executives rather than fans in general.
  12. Rev - there is a tab called More. Follow that and the link to fans and the Fans Forum is under there.
  13. I've hesitated to comment on the comments of the last few days regarding the Fans Forum on this and the FF thread, as it usually generates more hot air and is rarely productive. But this time I've bitten. These are the items we had on the March agenda: - 1. Brockhall Planning Application 2. Fan Re-engagement Plan & 2021/22 Season Tickets 3. Ewood Park Pitch 4. Fans Consultation Meetings 5. First Team Performance 6. Contact with Vulnerable Fans 7. 2019/20 Final Accounts 8. Live Streaming Under 23 Games I guess that the last one was somewhat less important. although it was one that a number of fans had been asking about. Perhaps someone can point out which other ones are trivial?
  14. I know that Forum members have been invited and that there are others too, but I don't know who they are.
  15. There's a meeting happening w/c 12/4/21.
  16. Rotherham’s advantage is that they have 5 relatively easy games coming up - Millwall, Wycombe, Huddersfield, QPR and Birmingham. And they are only 3 points behind Birmingham with 4 games in hand.
  17. As I’ve just written on the Other FL thread he’s not even a regular in Shrewsbury’s team - 3 starts in the last 6 games. BTW - he’s Harrison, not Harold.
  18. He’s not even a regular in Shrewsbury’s starting line up. In the last 6 games he has started 3, in all of which he was substituted. In the other 3 he was on the bench and came on late twice.
  19. It wasn't, although he went down very easily. But Forest were refused a clearly penalty in my opinion.
  20. Almost anything can be improved by adding Emmylou Harris Gav.
  21. Carter has scored again for Burton, leading 1-0 at Blackpool.
