  1. About to set off to Ewood. I'd rather not watch Markanday, please and thank you.
  2. Might want to take a look around the first team squad before complaining that we don't develop our own...
  3. He's already been weighed, measured and found wanting by the Ewood jury without even kicking a ball.
  4. But he's proven time and time again he can't play as a 6 in this formation, so why would they lie to him and tell him to wait his turn? They've tried to give him game time - at LB, RB and as an 8, but he's clearly not first choice in any of those positions either.
  5. Nothing to do with heart and passion. Everything to do with a small squad stretched to breaking point by long term injuries and a congested fixture list.
  6. How do you know we didn't get a loan fee for Travis?
  7. Broughton didn't lie, he was lied to. So was JDT. JDT had an opportunity to leave in the summer - he stayed because he thought they'd be allowed to reinvest the wages saved from Dack, Ayala, Kaminsky and Brereton-Diaz.
  8. It was a stupid move for him - purely motivated by his agent tripling his wages. I wouldn't allow him back into the building at Brockhall, ever.
  9. If you're telling me he's as good as Moran I'm snapping your hand off.
  10. Which youngster? Batty clearly hasn't kicked on this season and they were playing Brittain and Travis at LB at times.
  11. How many of those were immediately after his first touch?
  12. I wouldn't be surprised if Brighton have let us have him for cheap (as his initial loan failed) with the assurance that he'll be used to spell Moran, who we're in danger of running into the ground.
  13. I was saying to my dad the other day - the trick the owners pulled when they allowed Broughton / JDT to think that the money saved with Ayala / Dack / Brereton-Diaz etc leaving would be freed up in the wage bill, only to then slash the wage bill by the same amount was disgraceful.
  14. Not that you're obsessed or anything, having brought him up twice without prompting.
  15. If we're brutally honest, Travis is a pantomime villain. He couldn't fight his way out of a paper bag.
  16. Smart man if true - they're considerably wealthier than us.
  17. Let's see how the window plays out. It's clear that JDT doesn't like Travis in the CM role, so talk about him backing up A. Wharton and Tronstad is just that - talk. He's been relegated to makeshift FB in the last few months, he clearly needed to be moved on. And again I think he's a good Championship player, but he doesn't fit the style of football or formation JDT wants to play.
  18. After his performances (and lack of effort) post January he can get fucked tbh.
  19. I assume there's a loan fee and they're paying his full wages - so it's a temporary solution that they'll solve in the summer... or he comes back when we lose JDT and we change style / formation.
  20. Again, virtually giving away Phillips v actually giving him away. Broughton made the best of a bad situation with a player that clearly didn't want to be at the club and literally held all the cards. It's not the insult you think it is.
  21. And he'd be so far behind A. Wharton and Szmodics that he'd just be at the awards ceremony for a jolly.
  22. Ideally they're sizing us up for a sale - but we all know they're seeing what else they can cut back on. Absolutely baffling why they continue to hold onto the club.
  23. He cost us two goals yesterday - he was awful. He was a really useful makeshift RB (albeit he didn't have the close control or passing to play there - the additional size he brought to the team was a big boon), but he's let us down at CB.
