  1. I read that earlier - mad that. He seems to have been supplanted by Hartley as the County's #1 spinner. I wonder if there's been a falling out?
  2. If only Kane could score penalties when it matters.
  3. He's bought the club and all their assets (the stadium [which is what he covets as the owner of Wigan Warriors] and their training ground) for the outstanding £5m wages the EFL demanded. He's a businessman, it was literally a no-brainer - the stadium alone is worth 3 times that. I'd love someone to buy us, but we're £2-300m in the red, it's a much tougher sell unless the owners take that debt with them.
  4. Right now he's the first CB off the bench - not sure we can loan him out at the moment. He'll get plenty of game time next season at Rovers.
  5. They have a stranglehold on English football, it's not very enjoyable. Hopefully that Champions League win was the thing that Guardiola needed and he now moves on.
  6. I wouldn't still be celebrating with the fans at 9am the next day.
  7. They've certainly over-egged the pudding with their celebrations. It's a fine achievement, but it's a very minor trophy.
  8. The return of Salt, Livingstone and Buttler to the team has been an unmitigated disaster. For once I feel for the Lancashire hierarchy (who I usually criticise for not investing enough into the starting XI) - they must be tearing their hair out right now.
  9. He's tried to secure a £26m loan against Elland Road so he can buy Sampdoria. I wouldn't hold him up as the bastion of great ownership tbh.
  10. As long as we don't have to play 8 games in a month again because of a World Cup we should be alright. I'm hopeful the days of serial mismanagement are behind us, so we're not fighting with one hand tied behind our back.
  11. Fingers crossed our luck evens out next year and the ref hands us a win in our biggest game of the season too.
  12. Just the look of disbelief from the Barnsley player that got sent off?
  13. Well the referee has decided this L1 Playoff final. First by not giving a blatant penalty for Barnsley. Second by incorrectly sending off a Barnsley player. VAR and they still get it wrong.
  14. Hit and giggle is such a funny format. Lancashire have smashed all before them so far this season, yet today they've collapsed pathetically in Birmingham. It really does just take one player getting a score to make a difference.
  15. The fair comparison would be you've been sent out to get a Dairy Milk before the shops shut at 5pm. The first shop you went to promised that there was some in the back, but then bailed on you at 4pm. The second shop you went to had a massive queue and after waiting 30 minutes you give up because you can't get served. The third shop you went to, which you entered at 4.55pm, sensed your desperation and offered you a Dairy Milk, but for £15. Sorry to have to put it that way.
  16. That's 'cos there's nothing else to do in Liverpool
  17. Why isn't Bournemouth's keeper making that save?! That was a much better strike than the Everton goal.
  18. Bournemouth have been desperately poor - how are this mob safe in the PL??!
  19. They brought him in with 4 games to go - as much as I dislike Allardyce, he had no chance to turn that around.
  20. Maybe they wanted to give the Championship teams the freshest pitch and the 'prime time' slot of Saturday afternoon? Being the third game in three days on Monday, I'm sure the pitch is churned up somewhat.
