  1. James Beattie scored 91 Premier League goals - he's by far the best CF we've produced.
  2. I'd honestly rather take more chances with our budget on the likes of O'Riordan and Bindon than sign players like Wallace. Don't get me wrong, he was a good Championship player in his time, but he has zero resale value and is on the downside of his career - and he'll be on a fairly good wage too. I'd much rather speculate on outstanding young L1 / L2 talents and see if they can make the step up.
  3. He was, a few years ago. He's washed as a player now.
  4. He's a fantastic player, he's just not captain material. He needs a strong captain to keep him in check.
  5. This is why football is dying - Havertz should be booked for that dive.
  6. Honestly United will never amount to anything as long as Fernandes is their captain. He's a rat. The culture of the club will always be wrong when he's the guy you send out as the leader of your team. And yes, Mainoo is poor - he was poor at the Euros too. His minutes should have gone to Wharton who's a much better player.
  7. He hasn't played that many games, he's just fragile.
  8. That blonde with the shit haircut for Spurs is a right thug. He's done a couple of Tamworth players late now - no yellow card for any of them, obviously.
  9. I say it every time, but it's terrifying, isn't it? That £40m really has disappeared into a black hole.
  10. Exactly, he's a professional and didn't conduct himself like one.
  11. So you want to pay a guy that shafted the club out of £7m+ by leaving on a free another £500k? The same bloke that downed tools for 6 months not wanting to get injured for his new employer? I mean I know we're desperate, but have some pride.
  12. He's a CM being asked to play CB. This really isn't a fair game to judge him on.
  13. He's highlighting what we're missing. A bit of pace and Spurs have to respect it. He's opened up the game for Tamworth and given them a serious outlet.
  14. Do not bring Markanday back. He's absolutely more of the same.
  15. He's much quicker than what we have. I'd definitely have him in on a loan to buy deal.
  16. I'd like someone quick and skilful on the L/RW (I'd switch Dolan / Hedges / ACD to which ever wing the new signing didn't play) and I'd like another big / quick option upfront so we can loan out Leonard to L1. One of those has to be a permanent imo. I'd love to go back in for Poku and test their resolve.
  17. I hope not - unless they're absolute worldies and get us over the line. We've already got 3 loans (you're allowed 5 in a match day squad). To not reinvest any of the £40m is completely unsustainable.
  18. I'd suggest the Birmingham loanee was our defensive cover for this window.
  19. How giddy has he been recently? The giddier he is the worse the news is for us.
  20. He's very inconsistent. I wouldn't turn him down, but I'd hope we could do better i.e. someone that doesn't go missing for games at a time.
  21. On that theme of 'one of the best in the Championship', Boro's young RW is getting pelters for his performance. I think Beck is one of, if not the best, LBs in the division. He absolutely bullies people each and every week.
  22. Our starting XI minus Dolan, Gueye / Ohashi, ACD, Travis and Carter. Clearly Eustace got it right today - personally I'd have rested the entire side, but that's why he's the manager and I'm sat in the stands. Cantwell drifts too deep trying to get involved with the play. Leonard's movement, vision and touch is very good - his finishing isn't. JRC is sadly a utility man these days - valuable, but never going to nail down a spot in a settled side.
