  1. My guess is that he's only been offered the same terms as he's on now to trigger some compensation in the summer. They aren't interested in making him a high earner as the project is to cut costs.
  2. Is missing out on the play offs on the last day a successful season? Is getting in the play offs and losing a successful season? Progress maybe, but not successful. I personally think the only success is getting in them and winning them.
  3. 1994 the last time we won at Bramall Lane. Still no communication from the club on tickets, what makes it worse folk can't even ring up or pop in today to enquire as they don't bother opening on Mondays!
  4. For this game buying online, you could actually choose your seat from the ticket map. When I got ours last week the two end blocks were unavailable so I wonder if they are still to be allocated, as our initial allocation was 2k when the end holds 3k.
  5. Yes. If we finish 6th we play at Ewood on Thursday the 8th May and away on Monday 12th. If we finished 5th we would play at Ewood on Friday the 9th May and away on Tuesday 13th May.
  6. We could end up playing them Saturday, Thursday and Monday. Sheffield Utd won't rest players, they will want momentum going into the play offs and also won't want to play someone coming in on the back of 5 straight wins. They are much better than us and will beat us fairly comfortably i think.
  7. Of course he would. All about bank balance, despite what they say.
  8. As things stand, I think it's 10 first team players are set to leave this summer, make it 9 if Hedges option is activated. Rudy said 6 players to come in, so that leaves 3/4 to be filled with academy players I presume,. Out of the ones leaving, I can certainly see Forshaw being offered another year.
  9. Should be something whenever the FF minutes go live. Can't imagine many at all have been sold. Couple of thousand at best?
  10. No such thing as a "rebuild" or "developing the club" in this league hoping you might achieve something in a few years, you just can't do it. It's all about the here and now.
  11. All depends on Coventrys result at lunchtime for me. If Coventry win, I think we might scrape a 1-0. If Coventry lose and there is more of a sniff to get in that top 6, we'll lose 2-1. This club doesn't win when it counts.
  12. Two friendlies to take place in Spain... https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2025/april/23/pre-season-training-camp-confirmed/
  13. Two absolute extreme opinions in here, from saying Mowbray saved the club from going extinct, to Rev putting him as the cause of all the clubs problems. Both are absolute nonsense. Mowbray was a middling manager who was a perfect fit for for the club at the time, he was very frustrating in his ways, but he did ok, even though he stayed a couple of seasons to long.
  14. I'm sure Sam will reign it in on this one, but it's fairly interesting considering how critical he has been of venkys on past episodes.
  15. Have to admire Elliot getting an article out there this morning saying "it's a waiting game to see if we can secure Dolan's services". There isn't a chance he is staying here.
  16. That twitter account is this guy by the way... https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/news/9169044.rebel-rovers-fans-set-fc-blackburn/ So he's gone from wanting to set up a rival club 14 years ago to being venkys number one fan now. Strange eh?
  17. It's great to point the finger at them for anything, but I imagine pretty much any club's fans in the country would have done similar. Football fans in general can't help themselves when it comes to things like that.
  18. Coventry play at 12:30 on Saturday, so if they win it's down to one spot, Bristol don't play until Monday night.
  19. He will have to be offered a new deal on at least the same terms as he's on now for us to get compensation for him in the summer.
  20. 3rd post I have seen you say that. Agent's will do the rounds to watch there players all the time, maybe have a catch up. It will have nothing to do with him signing a new deal here.
  21. There is no negotiation, the option might have a slightly higher base salary than the original contract, all depends what was drawn up at the the time Hyam signed. I don't think any of them 4 players sign new deals. Can say what he wants, Travis, Tronstad and Brittain have all come out in the past two weeks saying how much they would like to stay. Doesn't matter a jot if we won't offer them the going rate to stay.
  22. We have renegotiated one new contract for a first team player in the last 16 months which was Riberio. Hyam doesn't count as there was literally no negotiation for that to happen. I imagine Hedges will have his option triggered fairly soon too. We aren't all of a sudden going to sign up 2 or 3 of those players you mentioned. At best I can see one or two of Weimann Batth and Forshaw possibly signing new one year deals. Dolan, Brittain, Tronstad, Travis and Hyam, will not sign fresh terms, because the club won't pay the going rate for experienced, established 24-28 year old players at this level.
  23. Absolutely no chance unfortunately.
