  1. I don't disagree Coyle was the main contributer. As i said though, we were two points adrift with 15 games to go. Hardly a lost cause. For how good some seem to think Mowbray is he should have gotten us out of it.
  2. We were two points adrift with 15 games to go. He got us out of the relegation zone twice during those 15 games and still slipped back in. All he had to do was better the mighty Burton Albion's results over a 15 game period. He was bought in to keep the club up as his number one objective, and he failed. Despite what his "PPG" record was in that season. If he had kept us up that season, the majority who seem to support him now would have been fed up of him a long time ago. Relegation was the best thing to happen to Mowbray, and the worst thing to happen to the club as it seems to have killed any ambition what so ever.
  3. It's gotten to the point that after 5 years, i would still rather have most of them on that list than Mowbray.
  4. That's actually incorrect. Middlesbrough were 2nd on 31st December in the 2011-12 season, and finished 7th, only winning 6 of there last 23 games. The season after was even worse, they were 3rd on 29th December and finished 16th, only winning only 3 of there last 21 games. I'll let you work out who was in charge of them during that time. The bloke is a disaster and i'm just amazed more can't see it.
  5. I very much think that Tuesday night was a "paper over the cracks" win. We'll revert back to type here, give a sloppy goal away, and miss a good 5 or 6 chances to score. Reading 1 Rovers 0
  6. Shame we didn't hang on and offer a "final 3" bundle. £30 for all three games in the Darwen End lower. A long time ago and different divisions i know, but i remember when we did that exact offer for the final 3 games of the 08/09 season and it pretty much sold out.
  7. In the "Final 5" article on the website it definitely said that Blackpool & Stoke would be category A to justify the price of the Final 5 ticket. Article confirms that the game has been reduced from a cat A to B. https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2022/march/16/ticket-news--rovers-v-blackpool/
  8. I think they probably would, I think I would for sure. It might be harsh, but the main thing i will remember Mowbray for during his time here are his horrendous winless runs of form. 9 defeats in 11 games in 18-19 2 wins in 17 games in 20-21 2 wins and 2 goals in 10 games (so far) in 20-22.
  9. Next season, we have the following under long term contracts - Kaminski, JRC, Brown, Wharton, Carter, Pickering, Edun, Travis, Buckley, Dack, Dolan, Hedges, Markandey, Gallagher. I imagine the likes of Phillips, Garrett and Butterworth and maybe one or two more from the under 23s will also be around the squad. We will sign 5 loan players too to no doubt to boost the squad numbers. Only Ayala and Diaz are out of contract in the summer of 2023, and the latter will surely be sold off this summer anyway. I still think there is a basis of a good side there, with a few decent loans or free transfers to compliment it we should be more than capable of staying around mid table in this league. The only thing that is a must for me, is that we change managers to give everyone a fresh lift and get new ideas into the club.
  10. For entertainment value, those half season tickets were terrible value.
  11. At least having Gavin Ward as the ref will give everyone an excuse to cover up the teams inadequacy's when we don't win.
  12. They aren't clever enough to do that. Only this week they said the Darwen End would be open to home fans on Saturday to reverse it less than 24 hours later due to "lack of take up".
  13. Nothing stopping you returning it, and then getting one off a mate with a ST at the cheaper rate. Anyway, as for the game, after what ive seen over the last 6 weeks there's not a chance we'll win this. This run will carry on until the international break at least.
  14. Unless he achieves an absolute miracle and gets us up (he wont), I genuinely cant understand why anyone would want Mowbray here next season. 4 years in a row at this level we have seen the same story, average to decent until Christmas/January then a huge collapse afterwards. It's just that this season our good run went on a bit longer than previous seasons.
  15. Mowbray is currently walking around the training ground with his fingers in his ears thinking that Gallagher, Dolan and Giles are suddenly going to start scoring every week. Not a chance he will look at that unfortunately.
  16. Yeah exactly. It's unlikely i'll be at the two midweek games due to other commitments, nothing to do with pessimism despite the relegation form since the turn of the year.
  17. Macc are in the North West Counties now. Four below the old fourth division.
  18. I live in Congleton, and went to the first game back in August. Kicked off behind the goal as they didn't think segregation would be needed. Problem was it was a sunny bank holiday Monday and a load of lads from Congleton who have no interest in the club went for a day on the ale and well, you can guess what happened next. Good to see Super Rob charging in to put out all the fires though. The return game was never going to be played at Booth Street anyway as the ground can't cope with any big numbers or segregation, even if there wasn't trouble at the original. Macclesfield's last away game too so also a potential promotion/championship celebration factored in. When Congleton were in the same league as FC United a few years ago they always moved the home game to Witton Albion for the same reason.
  19. This page seems to think it is... https://www.live-footballontv.com/live-championship-football-on-tv.html
  20. Pretty sure that was Macclesfield's only season in the old third division too when City were in there.
  21. I think you have to play any postponed games at the earliest convenient date. Bournemouth were already 2 or 3 games behind when there game against Forest was postponed, after looking at there fixtures all other midweeks were taken so i think May 3rd was the only free midweek left.
  22. Why? We never look like scoring, we certainly won't be going the rest of the season undefeated.
  23. Does make me laugh that everyone is pinning there hopes on the next 3 home games. We have gone nearly a quarter of a season now scoring only 3 goals, conceding 8, taking 12 points from the last 33. We aren't going to suddenly start scoring goals to beat these frustrating mid table sides, we'll get 4 points at best and plod on. Another classic Mowbray run.
  24. Its actually 3 separate prices for Rovers fans. £18 to sit in the family area £20 in the away end if a season ticket holder £25 in the away end if a non season ticket holder
  25. Only 1 win in 6 against the other 3.
