  1. Portsmouth for 500k if there local journo is to be believed ๐Ÿ˜†
  2. The only guarantee for next season is that we will loan 5 players in.
  3. Lincoln away added on Saturday July 23rd.
  4. Always said that the 2017 relegation was the best thing to happen to Mowbray, but the worst thing to happen to the club because a huge portion of our fanbase seem to think that is our natural level now. Seems to have killed any ambition with a lot of folk. I think of Mowbray had kept us up in 2017, a lot of folk who have him down as a saviour today would have been fed up of him long ago.
  5. Which one of those has a chance at going up next week? ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ˜‰
  6. It will be weeks before there will be an appointment, i'm going for third week in June.
  7. At the end of the day, even if Rothwell had gone and we got a couple of decent players in, we still would have had Mowbray in charge so nothing would have gone any differently.
  8. They will have seen the previous manager get 5 years at the job, under very little pressure, to do what he wants at the club. What manager in todays world wouldn't want that?
  9. Raya, Nyambe, Lenihan, Mulgrew, Williams, Bennett, Evans, Conway & Graham were all lauded as hero's after finishing second in league one, Mowbray inherited all them. Bowyer inherited Murphy, Etuhu, Best, Orr, DJ Campbell, Kean, Goodwillie and about 50 Portuguese lads. I don't rate Bowyer at all, but to turn that shitshow around and not only keep us up (which Mowbray didnt), but finish 8th the year after was a decent feat for a rookie manager in his first job. It took Mowbray 5 years to finish 8th. Anyway, like i said, not really the thread for it....
  10. Bowyer definitely inherited the club in a weaker position that Mowbray. This isn't the thread for that though. Mowbray has done ok, probably the bare minimum i would expect for someone given 5 years to shape the club how he saw fit, also feel like we have wasted a few years as he took us on this ridiculous journey though.
  11. The one thing we can guarantee, is that nothing is going to happen quickly. I predict we'll announce something in around a month or so.
  12. I'm pretty sure venkys getting rid of Sam had nothing to do with his style...
  13. Yet there are many out there that would have you believe that the fans are the main problem at the club.
  14. If Lowe has to stay couldn't they just stick him in the youth setup seeing he came from there previously? Presume Ben Benson will be staying too.
  15. Gav, how has Neil got a worse record than Mowbray? They were 13th when they sacked him while we were flying high in 15th. He finished above Mowbray in each of his last 3 seasons, without the luxury of spending millions on strikers too. He's a much better manager.
  16. I read it wrong the first time and selected Woodgate. Obviously i thought the question was who do you think will be the next manager. Who i want is obviously Farke.
  17. Thought Brown had a decent first half, then a shaky second. Far too early to tell if he will make it at this level, my gut tells me that he will be here and make the odd appearance until January before he goes on loan to a league or two below, then probably spend his career there.
  18. I guess we're in for a few weeks of utter silence now. June 30th his contract expires? In venkys world that is plenty of time to get around to it, they won't have a clue that the new season starts exactly 4 weeks after that.
  19. Nixon will just link us to everyone out of work over the next few weeks until the position is filled. Then claim an exclusive.
  20. I imagine we'll get about 4/5 weeks of absolute silence now save for the odd tidbit from Mowbray through the LET. There will be nothing from the official site for weeks, until middle of June when some desperado that we didn't think of takes charge. Farke is a pipe dream I'm afraid, even if he has some interest I have no faith in them getting the deal done.
  21. For what it's worth, I heard the exact same thing at the game today. Obviously no idea if true but the person who said it doesn't make things up.
  22. They are planning huge protests tomorrow i read, pitch invasions and all sorts.
  23. Gerry Cinnamon is playing a gig at Hampden the night we play Celtic so that could be something to do with the high prices.
  24. First game announced... https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2022/may/05/rovers-announce-celtic-friendly/
