  1. Helps that he's a right back. Imagine he's quite far behind the others though after his injury at the back end of last season. I think he goes on another loan somewhere towards the end of the window. Montgomery is nowhere near ready to be shoehorned in the right back position in this league.
  2. It's fixed. He wouldn't be able to train or play for the U21's without it. (or be employed by the club) Only way to free the space up is for him to leave the club.
  3. December 2023 was the last renewal, so not quite 2 and a half years yet, but I imagine that will pass before they manage to get anyone else renewed. We're essentially a one contract club now.
  4. He could well end up in the "10". Tavares, Baradji and Henrikson will all end up replacing the first choice trio of Travis, Tronstad and Cantwell, on less than half the wages is my guess. Great business for the finances, not so much for on the field of play.
  5. We're allowed 4 ESC spots. Ohashi qualifies now so yes, Henriksson will take out last spot.
  6. Why wouldn't he though? He had a core that helped him be in the top 6 for the majority of his time here last season, managers tend to use trusted players where possible.
  7. Think he goes next summer. Won't be many takers for him right now. Rudy and co praying he has a decent season so they can get him off the books next summer.
  8. At the minute, and I'm including Pears, Buckley & Leonard and just replacing Brittain for Miller, we would need to register 22 of the current players in our first team squad. We also then have the likes of Goddard, Michelski, Duru, Atcheson, Litherland, Batty, Montgomery and Tyjon on the fringes who don't need to he registered.
  9. Why have you got Pears in there but not Buckley?
  10. This will be the most comfortable home game WBA have this season. WBA 2 Rovers 0
  11. Hyam isn't signing a new contract, not a chance. I think they will go back in for Colin Rosler next summer to replace him, we love revisiting old targets.
  12. Nixon was also pushing Kapaudi for another good week or so saying our bid was still live despite signing McLoughlin when it clearly wasn't. So yeah coming round to thinking that Henriksson is an alternative to Baradji but Nixon hasn't caught up yet.
  13. We'll be losing Trav and Buckley so in theory need two replacements, just seems that we are getting the replacements in first.
  14. Cheap. That's the only consideration that comes into play. Folk are still thinking that anything this club does is for the best of the playing side, it isn't. The side on the pitch is well down on priorities at this club, all about getting a side out on the pitch as cheap as possible.
  15. Yeah I was wondering after posting if you can actually sign them and bring them over without having a ESC spot, would they be allowed to train etc? Maybe like you say, do the deal now, send him for his op and tell him to stay in Switzerland until Jan 1st then maybe we could register him and give him an ESC spot then if someone can be converted by then.
  16. Great shout actually, maybe that is the plan.
  17. Nixon still pushing that Baradji is signing, we obviously can't sign him and Henriksson due to ESC places.
  18. I did think Baradji would take that role, so maybe they see this guy as the right sided player we have been after.
  19. He's played central midfield mostly for his club, but seems very attacking. Seems like he can be back up for both Cantwell and Trav.
  20. Just a strange peice of business all round Mafoumbi.
  21. They should be doing everything they can to move on Mafoumbi. Complete waste of a ESC place.
  22. Darren Fletcher who played for Man Utd had it too. He would do yes.
