  1. You're getting confused somewhere. His first serious injury was in December 2020, a long time before he signed this new deal. He signed this deal in March 2023 where he was a regular in the side or at least the squad, he did miss 5 or 6 games around this period with a small injury though. I suppose it's possible that he might have signed a new deal at some point during his first injury, but that wasn't what we were discussing.
  2. 9pm Saturday to midnight Sunday.
  3. He signed the deal in March 2023 and got his serious injury in April 2024.
  4. Hedges and Hyam both have 1 year options so I imagine we will trigger those.
  5. In Gregg's time at the club from July 2022 we sorted out the following contracts for current first team squad members or youth team players who would be around the squad... 2nd September 2022 - John Buckey on a 5 year deal 12th September 2022 - Adam Wharton on a 5 year deal 20th September 2022 - Ashley Phillips on a 3 year deal 24th October 2022 - Jack Vale on a 3 + 1 year deal 25th October 2022 - Jake Batty on a 3 year deal 21st March 2023 - Jake Garrett on a 4 year deal 29th March 2023 - Scott Wharton on a 4 year deal 30th March 2023 - Haydon Carter on a 4 year deal 12th May 2023 - Ainsley Pears on a 4 year deal 19th June 2023 - Zak Gilsenan on a 2 + 1 year deal 10th July 2023 - Joe Rankin Costello on a 4 year deal 29th July 2023 - Harry Leonard on a 4 year deal 28th November 2023 - Sammie Szmodics on a 3 + 1 year deal 8th December 2023 - Adam Wharton on a 5 year deal Since Gregg left the club in June 2024 (in reality it was January 2024) we have sorted out contracts for the following first team players.....
  6. If we are active it will be towards the end of the month, we aren't proactive unless it's getting someone out the other way. A bit more concerning for me is that Eustace, Brittain, Hyam, Batth, Tronstad, Travis, Dolan, Hedges, Siggurdsson, Weimann contracts all due to expire in the next 18 months, plus our 3 loans going back this summer. A really crucial period coming up, and I have no faith in anyone at the club to get anything sorted.
  7. They are very solid and hardly concede, will be a really tough game. We have to score the first goal for me tomorrow to get something from the game.
  8. Szmodics vs Cambridge in the FA Cup 3rd round last season. Last league hat trick I believe was Brereton Diaz in September 2021 against Cardiff.
  9. None in the whole of 2024. JRC being the last in December 2023. Contract extensions aren't happening here anymore, back to the days of watching folk walk out of the door for nothing.
  10. Was wondering if we could we play Weimann as the central forward? Have Dolan, Hedges and ACD behind him?
  11. The £7m Brereton offer was allegedly the following summer.
  12. I find it strange saying CB is not a priority, we're an injury/suspension away from having to play 38 year old Kyle McFadzean in there. Wharton not back until next season, and even then it will take him a while to find his feet again. Batth and McFadzean probably not here next season, O'Riordan clearly not good enough. Hyam, Carter, Wharton, Litherland & a new signing seems likely to what we'll have next season.
  13. If we take 1 point from 15 that is a slump and well on the way to the annual death spiral, whether you like it or not.
  14. This will be the most comfortable 2-0 home win you have ever seen.
  15. When we lose the next two, because we will from what I have seen over the past week or so, are we allowed to say 1 point from 15 is the start of a death spiral or do we just brush it off as playing good sides?
  16. 1 point from 9, which included two games against sides in horrible form, with two of the top three next. Make no mistake the death spiral has started.
  17. Play your best team. Seems to be an acceptance that we can rest whoever we want today and just turn up and win, change it too much and we'll get bitten. Worry about Leeds at 5pm this afternoon.
  18. Ended up being played on the 1st Feb that Leeds game.
  19. Khadra was probably the last real pace we had. A bit wasteful but always an outlet and always a threat.
  20. Now he is a poor player. 46 minutes all season and none in the league, being an unused sub more often than not, and a few months off being 30. A proper scraping the barrel type signing that someone bottom.of the league should be looking at.
  21. Of course he is. I think he has started all but 5 games since Eustace has been in charge, and one of those he was suspended. Like has been said, he will end up somewhere similar to here next year but on a bit more money, because we are unwilling to pay the going rate.
  22. Yeah, he joined in July 2020. and signed a new deal in February 2021.
  23. I'd say at the minute Hyam, Travis, Tronstad, Cantwell. Beck if we're including loans. He's an important part of our squad Dolan, he would probably be on the next rung down in terms of pay with Carter, Brittain, Pickering, JRC, Ohashi for me.
  24. Lewis Dobbin is one I think we'll have an eye on. Signed for Villa from Everton for £10m in one of those bend the rules transfers in the summer. Been on loan at WBA for the first half of the season but they have recalled him because he's struggled for game time mostly being used as a sub. Young left winger who of course plays on the wrong side, tricky but not particularly quick, seems to fit our mould nicely.
  25. If the summer window was anything to go by, don't expect anything quick to happen. Plus with Park leaving gives them a perfect excuse.
