  1. Richard Wright has got injured during the warm up tonight. Martyn is already out. Wondering if either of them will be available on Saturday.
  2. Looks like we might be on the way to having one more Roverite. Despite the shocking game Linda's little boy actually really enjoyed his first match. He watched the game in his Rovers shirt and was delighted with his BRFCS.com badge (Thanks Paul, you're a star). Woke him up this morning to find that he had put his Rovers badge on his Pyjamas lol. He has decided that he now supprts both Blackburn and Chelsea now, just have to work on him to drop the latter.
  3. Good idea Tris. It'll be good to see you mate.
  4. I'm keen on the MDA Vario or XDA Mini S. Both the same model but on different networks. Very impressive indeed
  5. SSN have just shown the rovers shirt with Bet24 on the front of it.
  6. The Ewood faithful have been waiting for a 'hero' for some time, last night they got their hero. David Bentley, making his first appearence since signing a three and a half year contract from Arsenal silenced the travelling fans with a superbly taken hat trick. What Arsene Wenger would have given for a hat trick hero last night. It would appear that Bentley was snapped up for a nominal fee and hopefully the young former england u21 star will finally start to fulfill the promise shown over the previous years. Bentley's first goal came when he was first to react to an excellent save from a Morten Gamst Pedersen free kick, Van Der Sar throwing himself to his left to palm Pedersens pin point strike onto the post. Bentley nipped in and somehow managed to squeeze the ball between the keeper and Wes Brown. United hit back quickly when a fierce drive from Rooney was only pushed out as far as the off-side Louis Saha who struck the ball into the bottom left hand corner of Friedels goal. Replays showed that Saha was clearly off side when the shot from Rooney came into the box, and therefore should have been ruled out. Rovers responded in the best possible way and pushed United onto the back foot. A classic mix up between Ferdinand and Van Der Sar led to Rovers second goal of the night. A cross into the box was met by Ferdinand who completely missed his keeper with a back header that looped invitingly to Bentley. wes Brown did his best to keep the ball out but it was forced over the line by Bentley. Rovers fans were in elation, chants of Rio Rio Rio rang out around Ewood Park. Things got better on the turn of half time when a cross from Reid was handled by Wes Brown. Fergie could have no arguments, although he did, about the penalty, both Brown's arms came out behind him and a pen was the only outcome. The resulting penalty was coolly despatched by Lucas Neill, who slotted past the keeper with min imum effort. The crown went mad and at half time we were 3-1 to the good. The second half started brightly and Rovers were soon in dreamland and 4-1 up. Savage caught Neville out of position and wandered into acres of space before crossing for Bentley, who waited for the ball to drop before smashing an unstoppable strike past the United keeper. Bentley reeled away to celebrate and left RFW wondering if maybe Ferdinand wasn't a midfielder and maybe Van Nistlerooy wasn't a sub!!! Some poor defending led to United getting a goal back, Todd tried to shepherd the ball out of play but was caught out by Ronaldo who crossed the ball to Van Nistlerooy who had the easy task of slotting home from 1 yard out. Van Nistlerooy slotted his second, and United's third a few minutes later. At 4-3 the fans were getting nervous and Robbie Savage stated after the game that he felt that if united got one more goal they would go on to win the game...... they never got the goal and they never went on to win the game. Ferdinand was booked twice within 3 minutes, the second for a lunge on Robbie savage who left the pitch on a stretcher. Rovers held out and recorded their first double over united since just after the war, Bentley the scorer of the first ever premiership hat-trick past United. Obviously RFW took the defeat well and gave praise to the battling qualities of Rovers....... yeah right!!!!
  7. Did you see what price they were Paul. They are showing as £7.50 on the onlin shop but I know things have been different prices before. Makes a change for me to actually be able to view the online shop. The only size they have on the website is large Junior...... never sure how big that is
  8. Did anyone happen to pop into the club shop last night. Just wondering how much junior kits are selling for at the moment.
  9. Hughes has just been on SSN having a go back at 'Sir Alex'. He's answered all of the points that Fergie raised adn said that he seems to have seen the game differently to everyone else.
  10. Can I just remind people of the following, which is number one of the posting guidelines. I know we are all excited but please remember that children do visit the site
  11. Following all of the comments on here I have bought tickets in the away end for the three of us. Look forward to seeing some of you there.
  12. I could well be at this one. I'm planning on bringing the new mrs and her boy to their first game. I'm in the process of creating a little rover, he is a chelsea fan at the moment but I'm working on him. Just out of interest does anyone take their young 'uns to away games and how have they found it. It's his first game and I want to make it as enjoyable experience for him as possible. I'm toying with the idea of getting tickets in the family enclosure in the home end... just thought it might be a better environment for a 9 year old.
  13. i don't know if our online shop looks any good, it's still not bloody working
  14. The online club shop seems to be a nightmare. It's never bloody open!!! Every time I go to it I get an error message saying please try later. I guess it's the internet equivelant of a sign in the window saying "back in 5 mins"
  15. He would have received a 2 match ban. Unfortunately he will still receive a 2 match ban if he gets booked again this season (I think) so we will definately have to do without his services for a couple of games soon.
  16. Bear in mind that they had most of their midfield out injured and still beat us comfortably at Ewood. This is still going to be a very tricky game, winnable but tricky.
  17. Portsmouth's away form is pretty shocking aswell. I actually think the Big club might win that one but then they will get hammered by Arsenal and Liverpool leaving them firmly in the........ relegation zone
  18. Nice to see your mug all over Sky again Manchester Blue. Every time they replayed Sparky celebrating you were there.... I hope you've got the royalties sorted.
  19. Not sure if anyone is interested but skybet have offered me 33-1 on Bellamy scoring at Newcastle and Souness getting sacked after the game.... could be interesting. Also offered 25-1 on Pedersen to score direct from a corner this season. doesn't seem great odds to be fair.
  20. I seem to remember that Souness had a go at Bellamy when he left about not scoring enough goals. He said that Ameobi would outscore him if given a longer run in the team. Just out of interest Ameobi has played in 16 games this season and scored 1 goal, Bellers has played in 17 games and scored 9 goals....... I think I know which one I would choose Mr Souness. http://uk.sports.yahoo.com/050202/4/8u8r.html
  21. ...in a sad attempt to make Birmingham look ambitious. It sums up the club - and its owners' routinely ridiculous conduct. PRICELESS!!!!
  22. Can any of our aussie friends give us the lowdown on Skoko. He has hinted that he might leave Wigan. Thought he was impressive when we played against him when he was at Genclerbirligi.
  23. Am I mistaken or is this thread supposed to be about our impressive win away at Wigan..... Not sure if it's been mentioned but Reids goal was pretty good. Can't be arsed to wade through the last few pages of crap being spouted by the usual suspects. How about keeping it on topic for a change.
  24. So after 19 games the Big club in Aston are on 13 points after 19 games. just to highlight how much trouble they are in I had a look back over previous seasons. Out of 12 teams relegated in the last 4 seasons, no team has had less points after 19 games than Birmingham do now. Relegated Teams and points after 19 games Norwich 15 Palace 14 Southampton 14 Wolves 15 Leeds 17 Leicester 18 Sunderland 18 WBA 16 West ham 14 Derby 16 Ipswich 15 Leicester 15 Only 1 team has escaped the drop in a worse position than Birmingham are now, and that was WBA last year. They had 10 points after 19 games and ended up on 34. I don't see Birmingham having a run like West Brom did last year. I think they may be down and out. Upson limped off yesterday and is out for about 4 weeks.
