Saved their bacon has Val these past couple of weeks, get him a new five year deal ASAP.

Rudy’s signing for the special delivery in the shop. -
People ‘slagging him off’ on here for years don’t understand this division. Good player at this level and grafts his arse off week in week out. The wage he’s been on relative to other nailed on first teamers has been a joke for years and no wonder he’s looking elsewhere.

Valérien Ismaël: Blackburn Rovers Head Coach
Mattyblue replied to DE.'s topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
End of the day they don’t sack managers so all you can do is hope that this guy can produce the goods as we’d need to be hurtling towards League 1 before they’d even countenance potting him (and when/if they bothered doing that it would inevitably be too late). -

Season ticket phase 1 deadline is supposedly the end of this week and we have a huge game in five days and they don’t open the ticket office. Only at Venky Rovers. -

Even in our glory days we had that stinker of a Wilcox penalty in another FA Cup quarter final over there. -

No Sky will always focus on the relegation battle over who wins the title (would have been different if automatic promotion itself was still up for grabs). -

Sounds about right to me, I’d assume the extra 1k would go on sale Monday/Tuesday. -

If that is the case, surely the club should’ve put that on the website Saturday evening alongside the match report/interviews etc, instead of having folk still hoping to get one Monday morning. -

Have we actually sold out? The online allocation has gone over the weekend but perhaps the ticket office staff will add more in the morning? -
Venky’s (& Suhail) Out Protest Ideas
Mattyblue replied to DuffsLeftPeg's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Their core fanbase isn’t particularly large, however they will always see thousands coming out the woodwork if they get some momentum on the pitch - just the way it is when you are based in the UK’s second biggest city. -
Venky’s (& Suhail) Out Protest Ideas

Oh I see, thought he was on about me talking about searches. Yep what I said is 100% true, you can call it ‘pouring cold water’ if you want, DLP, but most protest against the regime *won’t happen* at Ewood (especially if the team is doing well) - simple as that. So don’t give the regime ammunition that there’s no support for protest if one man and his dog turn up for them and get behind what Glen is doing instead. -
They’ll be kicking themselves they didn’t wait till the usual release date (I.e about now at the earliest), they would have ridden out the dissent if they had.

Title of the emails in CAPITALS too… must be desperate

Ah, so just your opinion then (also, I said dozens ‘those clubs’ hoover up, I.e the ‘Big 6’, as was, not just Tottenham on their own). It was £2million, absolute peanuts for a Tottenham - the equivalent of us bringing in that O’Riordan for a negligible fee with the hope he also could make it at a higher level… he didn’t, young lads are a gamble, but it’s a low stakes one if a minuscule fee, so out on loan he goes too.

Two reasons, one, not a bank holiday and two, since the act of union, ‘Englishness’ has often been conflated with ‘Britishness’. Probably less so since devolution, but it is why national ‘days’ in England have more revolved around sporting and royal events over a saint/national day.
-
That article says Tottenham thought he was a ‘superstar’ over and above the dozens of other hoovered up teenagers, where?
-
Did Tottenham really think he was going to be a ‘superstar’ or just another one of the dozens of teenagers those clubs hoover up for peanuts on the off chance an odd one actually is? The rest of them? Just loan them out until they eventually get rid, no skin off their nose.

If sales really are as bad as we think, surely they aren’t actually going to bang then up in price in a week? So, what, charging £450 for a Blackburn End ST or £550 for JWU for next season before this season has even finished? Completely lost it down there
-
It will be higher than some on here expect. But like I said the other day they timed the release at the worst possible time - just as results were tanking, Glen’s campaign was ramping up and Boardroom-gate. I’d wager if they’d have gone on sale on Tuesday (on a good run, dissent has died down, outside chance of top 6) they’d sell ok, but a fair few will have made their mind up not to renew back in March. I’ll go for 6/7k, which is still a complete disaster, but it won’t push them any closer to the door.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c3evw09794xo Another piece on him. Yep, he’s going elsewhere sooner rather than later, with a decent sell on… so obviously another ‘significant investment’ will be coming the team’s way. Not cheap these three month loans.
