  1. ‘In-Depth’ on RoversTV? The impediment is over!
  2. Attitude, simple as that. Had it on a plate since being about 8 years old. Compare and contrast to a Szmodics who’s grafted his way to a good career (and the financial rewards that go with it). JB will drift down the leagues and at 35 may actually have some regrets.
  3. Nice attempted deflection but we are talking about two EFL clubs.
  4. If you now ‘support’ another EFL club you were never a proper Rovers fan in the first place.
  5. Previous levels without a doubt, the boom in crowds across football coupled with the scale and profile of the PL (that has gone up a fair few levels since 2012) means we’d do that no problem.
  6. What’s your point? End of the day Ewood was re-built for a club at the top of the Premier League. We will never, ever fill it completely (so say 28,000 home fans with 3k away) with our own fans week in week out even if we ended back in the top flight. The fanbase isn’t big enough. So if it takes a ticket offer to do it, so what?
  7. We haven’t re-signed a first team player on a long term deal for what, two years now? So use that thing called *logic*, Chaddy. We obviously can’t or won’t pay the going rate for our established Championship players.
  8. I’m not saying you think those things, I’m talking generally about a large chunk of the fanbase. Have a look at half the PL, I’m not besmirching those clubs, my point is there’s no reason our ambitions shouldn’t be to join them - especially as on the pitch we’ve done very well all things considered the past few years, we really haven’t been far away. Fifteen years of relatively low crowds (due to the owners) and no ambition (due to the owners) has led far too many fans to think that is just how it is - new custodians could put a rocket under this club and those same fans would soon be jettisoning those previous views about little old Rovers.
  9. It’s partially true for any club outside 7 or 8 post the 1960s. But any Rovers ‘fan’ that meekly accepts this is as good as it can be for BRFC when half the top flight are clubs like Bournemouth and Brentford are no fans at all.
  10. Yet all you hear from a sizeable chunk of the fanbase is ‘small club’, ‘only ever up there because of Jack’, ‘crap crowds in the mid 80s’, ‘be grateful for Venky’s’
  11. You’re a memorable poster, what can I say!
  12. You still here? Yes, I.e there’s no issue in us buying £7million young players as they’ll be on peanuts.
  13. Classic Bizzle. Always has to announce his his return, then announces his departure straight after. How’s that flex going by the way?
  14. Yep, no doubt he’s been a disgraceful owner. However, you can forsee a day when he’s fucked off, whereas here…
  15. What’s your favourite barbecue item?
  16. He’d probably quadruple his money even if that was the only offer so sure he won’t be crying about it.
  17. You are certainly in a minority of one with this one though.
  18. How about the player of the year?
  19. Some people, plenty of others have thought for a long time that he’s a handy (and now fairly experienced) Championship player… but of course such a player would quite rightly expect the going rate.
  20. Yeah think there might be a slight middle ground somewhere between Pears and, err, Friedel fans would be happy enough with…
  21. The ‘rest’ excuse doesn’t even make any sense. There’s a round of fixtures the weekend of the 20/21st, weekend of the 27th but also midweeks on the 30th. So what difference does it make if they play on the 27th instead of the 26th? Indeed you could make the argument that playing on the 26th would actually be better for rest periods between games. It’s obviously a TV scheduling decision hiding behind welfare.
  22. ‘Rovers’ Head of Women’s Football, Nick Birchall, said: “We are delighted to be able to announce a new ground share agreement with Clitheroe FC for the 25/26 season. As we embark on a new chapter for the Blackburn Rovers Women’s Club, the club were keen to ensure that we continue to play as close as possible to the Blackburn area, whilst ensuring we meet the ground criteria for the Women’s National League. The location and facilities at Clitheroe FC will provide a fantastic experience for fans of Women’s football and the capacity of the ground allows for continued growth of the game in the coming years’ Well, that’s one way of putting it.
  23. Yep, defo need to rest on an age old football day like Boxing Day considering all the commitments players have like playing in empty grounds in the US in June and post season tours to Hong Kong…
  24. Just a throwaway (and plain obvious comment a year ago, maybe by me, can’t remember now) about how England have had the rub of the green a bit (true), but so what, it’s tournament football, you can only beat what’s put in front of you (also true) and folk are still disputing it, as, well, you can’t ever un-paint yourself out of a corner on an anonymous message board, that would never do, so double down! Classic brfcs 😅
