  1. Season ticket phase 1 deadline is supposedly the end of this week and we have a huge game in five days and they don’t open the ticket office. Only at Venky Rovers.
  2. Even in our glory days we had that stinker of a Wilcox penalty in another FA Cup quarter final over there.
  3. No Sky will always focus on the relegation battle over who wins the title (would have been different if automatic promotion itself was still up for grabs).
  4. Sounds about right to me, I’d assume the extra 1k would go on sale Monday/Tuesday.
  5. If that is the case, surely the club should’ve put that on the website Saturday evening alongside the match report/interviews etc, instead of having folk still hoping to get one Monday morning.
  6. Have we actually sold out? The online allocation has gone over the weekend but perhaps the ticket office staff will add more in the morning?
  7. Their core fanbase isn’t particularly large, however they will always see thousands coming out the woodwork if they get some momentum on the pitch - just the way it is when you are based in the UK’s second biggest city.
  8. Oh I see, thought he was on about me talking about searches. Yep what I said is 100% true, you can call it ‘pouring cold water’ if you want, DLP, but most protest against the regime *won’t happen* at Ewood (especially if the team is doing well) - simple as that. So don’t give the regime ammunition that there’s no support for protest if one man and his dog turn up for them and get behind what Glen is doing instead.
  9. They’ll be kicking themselves they didn’t wait till the usual release date (I.e about now at the earliest), they would have ridden out the dissent if they had.
  10. ‘The Slightly Better Than Corry Evans Award goes to…’
  11. Title of the emails in CAPITALS too… must be desperate
  12. Ah, so just your opinion then (also, I said dozens ‘those clubs’ hoover up, I.e the ‘Big 6’, as was, not just Tottenham on their own). It was £2million, absolute peanuts for a Tottenham - the equivalent of us bringing in that O’Riordan for a negligible fee with the hope he also could make it at a higher level… he didn’t, young lads are a gamble, but it’s a low stakes one if a minuscule fee, so out on loan he goes too.
  13. Two reasons, one, not a bank holiday and two, since the act of union, ‘Englishness’ has often been conflated with ‘Britishness’. Probably less so since devolution, but it is why national ‘days’ in England have more revolved around sporting and royal events over a saint/national day.
  14. That article says Tottenham thought he was a ‘superstar’ over and above the dozens of other hoovered up teenagers, where?
  15. Did Tottenham really think he was going to be a ‘superstar’ or just another one of the dozens of teenagers those clubs hoover up for peanuts on the off chance an odd one actually is? The rest of them? Just loan them out until they eventually get rid, no skin off their nose.
  16. If sales really are as bad as we think, surely they aren’t actually going to bang then up in price in a week? So, what, charging £450 for a Blackburn End ST or £550 for JWU for next season before this season has even finished? Completely lost it down there
  17. It will be higher than some on here expect. But like I said the other day they timed the release at the worst possible time - just as results were tanking, Glen’s campaign was ramping up and Boardroom-gate. I’d wager if they’d have gone on sale on Tuesday (on a good run, dissent has died down, outside chance of top 6) they’d sell ok, but a fair few will have made their mind up not to renew back in March. I’ll go for 6/7k, which is still a complete disaster, but it won’t push them any closer to the door.
  18. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c3evw09794xo Another piece on him. Yep, he’s going elsewhere sooner rather than later, with a decent sell on… so obviously another ‘significant investment’ will be coming the team’s way. Not cheap these three month loans.
  19. Or he’ll be overseeing our no mark one as CEO (post its downgrade from Cat 1).
  20. Fifteen years in and we are still bouncing from ‘model’ to ‘model’. Even this season we’ve gone from filling the side with experienced pros now we are back to judging success by ‘academy minutes’ on the pitch. Insane way to try and run a club at this level, good job we won’t be at this level soon enough.
  21. Difference being if handed my dosh over to, say, Chorley, my expectation would be their board are doing everything they can to get the best possible side on the pitch their resources allow in order to progress up the league(s).
  22. Of course, as they did last summer after just a week saying ‘best first week sales on record’… we sold a mighty 9,000 in the end (4k adults). Obviously burnt all the pre-regime era records.
