But in reality, what will happen? ‘We want Venky’s out’ some bedsheets about Suhail? A midweek match will probably have about 6k in the ground next season. Of course, the fact there will be 6k in the ground for said games tells you what the wider fanbase has done - walked away in their droves, no better show of dissent than that to panic the owners of a business… but this lot couldn’t give a flying fuck about that.

The death by a thousand cuts/slow boil of a frog, what ever analogy you want to use is why this lot will always get away with it, as they’ve always done just enough to keep the show on the road, be it wages or whatever else. They’ve always been canny enough to not let it all explode into the open, a la Sheff Wed. It is the worst possible situation to be in as it allows them to run the club down without any scrutiny until they’ve reduced us to god knows what level… with a good percentage of the fanbase applauding them as they do it, by the way.

Blackburn Rovers WomenMattyblue replied to Proudtobeblue&white's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard Good that there’s a Head of Women’s Football though overseeing things down there… only snag no women allowed in.

Think the FF is either this week or next, so presumably they’ll give an update. Looks like very few have been sold post phase 1 (quelle surprise), so 8 thousand and something?
-
The 150th should be something like £15 an adult, £1.50 a kid (or whatever), try and get as big a crowd as possible… but yeah this lot, they’ll make it Cat A and then be amazed that having Kevin Gallacher et al walk around the pitch pre game and some other naff stuff doesn’t lead to a bumper gate.

What a bunch of grifters they are down there. £33 to £38 on a weekend to sit in the Darwen End Upper ‘central’ (whatever that’s supposed to be?). Obviously spotted it’s something QPR do.

150th Anniversary kit/celebrationsMattyblue replied to Proudtobeblue&white's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard The two corners between the Jack Walker and the BE/DE would be great for a history mura… oh.

150th Anniversary kit/celebrationsMattyblue replied to Proudtobeblue&white's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard Obviously a shoe string operation down there… so of course, twenty odd ‘Head Ofs…’ are certainly required to spend those pennies down there, especially the one now overseeing an amateur team.

150th Anniversary kit/celebrationsMattyblue replied to Proudtobeblue&white's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard Darwen is more of a Rovers hotbed than Blackburn these days, so get the cream in there!

v Accrington Stanley (a) - 12/7/25 - FriendlyMattyblue replied to Herbie6590's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard Yet obviously a club that is a giant in comparison couldn’t possibly offer something similar, because, well, ‘we can’t’ ©️Fans Forum minutes since c2012.

No I left it there as you are unable to give your own explanation (as you don’t have one). So no point flogging a dead horse. A 🦜 of authority lines, like you have been since the day you joined.

v Accrington Stanley (a) - 12/7/25 - FriendlyMattyblue replied to Herbie6590's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard That’s Stanley selling it, not Sodexho.

v Accrington Stanley (a) - 12/7/25 - FriendlyMattyblue replied to Herbie6590's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard Might be one of their biggest crowds this season, as much smaller away followings in L2 compared to L1 as they’ll have noticed last season. No Bradford filling two stands either… bet Oldham fetch plenty there though.
-
‘I mean it’s been since 1992 that they’ve been moving Saudi league fixtures so they can behead people on the pitch, so get over it’… wait, hang on, think I’ve mixed that up with something else, so much hypocrisy, I get confused.
-
There you go. I admire it to be fair… all without media training too.
-
As always, you are being the politician and not answering the question asked. Nobody is saying Sky should have had a load of razzmatazz about it on SSN. So we’ll ask again; why would it be disrespectful for the EFL to publish a list of fixtures on their website? (please answer that very specific question and not deflect going on about Sky, how impatient Matty couldn’t wait a day or whatever else)
-
You didn’t, but thanks for joining us, minister.
-
Already told you, Matty wasn’t arsed either way, I was merely curious to why it was disrespectful to post some fixtures on the EFL website, so asking what I thought was a fairly simple question - you have chosen not to answer, but instead, as always, you deflect and start going on about something else entirely. Tell you what, you’d fit right in as a guest on the Sunday politics shows.
-
Try again. Why would it be disrespectful to publish some fixtures on the EFL website?

Why would it be disrespectful to publish some fixtures on the EFL website?
-
Just his standard forelock tugging to authority. If the EFL had published them on their website he wouldn’t have said a thing about ‘disrespect’.
-
No Matty really couldn’t have given a feck either way, I’m just asking for an explanation to why listing fixtures on a website is disrespectful.
-
Why would showing a list of fixtures on the EFL website have been disrespectful to Jota?
-
But anyway. Just Hull away moved until the end of September (still Saturday 23rd August, but now 12.30pm). Got off lightly there… or Sky have no expectations of us doing much.
