  1. Everton or Tottenham away, as I doubt I’d ever see Rovers at those places otherwise.
  2. We obviously are where we are as half way through the season and I expect, as always, they’ll just try and muddle through (and hope that rare metrological phenomenon ‘rain’ holds off on match days). But do they deserve all the opprobrium that comes their way in the meantime? Yes.
  3. I attend and I’m happy to criticise ‘the club’ as those running and owning it deserve it, and there’s no issue in those that don’t go doing the same. Nothing unfortunate about it and it has got to the stage where it feels like they are embarrassing this grand old institution on what seems like a weekly basis.
  4. Even the most liked comments on the LT articles have turned. Where art thou, Reg?
  5. ‘The rainy season’, ah yes, that famous monsoon phenomenon that only impacts a slice of Lancashire between Preston and Accrington.
  6. After Wimbledon (we sorted out the drainage that summer) we didn’t have an issue for 20 plus years.
  7. ‘91 to ‘95 what a ride ay….
  8. I’d have Leonard over Gueye any day, bit of a strange departure considering they weren’t going to bother with strikers outside Gudjohnsen.
  9. I can still remember Motty’s commentary from that day, ‘the new grandstand has opened, the Walkersteel’… and it looked shit just two and a bit years later when the new Darwen End opened.
  10. Starts at 5pm too, so get clocking off early folks!
  11. Desperate for cash. Noticed a lot this season, an event that might have cost a tenner with a pint thrown in is now 30, 40, 50 quid.
  12. £35 to spend an evening with that obnoxious fella?!
  13. Season tickets, season tickets, season tickets. If you only sell c9k of them, your 31,000 ground will always be empty for midweeks, in bad form etc as the walk ons just won’t be there. Now, you sell c12k STs and straight away their is a decent base to build on.
  14. Demographic change is a big part, there’s no getting away from it. The Venky destruction of the club came at the worst possible time as the 2010s saw a big chunk of the fanbase move further away from the town. Now that isn’t an issue in itself, many clubs have seen their original patch change and fans spread further out, I’m thinking West Ham, West Brom, Bradford, Leicester etc, those clubs are still pulling in the crowds despite the fanbase generally being more disparate. However, here the owners have deliberately dismantled the club *and* the fanbase has moved, it becomes harder and harder for fans living 20, 30, 40 miles away to make the effort when the regime doesn’t.
  15. Can put a decent first XI on the pitch for this level, wider squad? Dreadful, simple as that and that’s down to this disgraceful regime.
  16. There’s no point of a four game bundle if it’s no cheaper pro rata than what you’d expect a match ticket to be anyway (I.e works out at £27 to £30 a game in the JW) as you only need to miss one for it to be terrible value. Also logically if you are somebody that doesn’t buy a ST in the first place then by default you don’t want to commit to multiple games in a row. Waste of time from a regime that is cynically using crap deals that will get no take up in order to go ‘see, told you so’ in FF meetings.
  17. Just by way of comparison you could've picked up a half season ticket at PNE for £170.
  18. £25 a game in the Blackburn End, £27 to £30 in the Jack Walker, what a deal!
  19. Though the Sky guide for Sky Sports + isn’t listing it, but then there is a PL game on there, so yeah, presumably red button.
  20. Let them off that one, doesn’t come in till next season… wrong day
  21. So slapdash down there, it’s spot the error in pretty much every comms.
  22. Will the mythical 150th kit be in the tombola?
  23. Fair enough, @Parsonblue. I recall you being quite anti-regime a few years back, but yes, I get it, last couple of years, I’ve become more Serenity Prayer myself due to life events. But unfortunately I find my approach is becoming less ‘just watching the lads’ but just instead slowly switching off from the whole thing.
