  1. I wouldn't call c9k a 'success', how could having one of the lowest figures in the league, sales that wouldn't even be towards the top of the third division be labelled anything but poor. But considering the prices I'll take it for now until a potential new CEO pursues a new strategy. I'd paint these sales as 'a relief' when you consider we were as as low as 7k in the summer of 2021/22, at least we've stabilised an alarming year on year decline. The support is there, it just needs a prod.
  2. Depends where you sit I find. As long as you avoid the 'party stands' - so Hollies at Edgbaston, Western Terrace at Headingley, that scaffolding monstrosity at OT etc you're fine.
  3. Ben Brereton is already a groguet - Villarreal CF Official Site 'I like to play on the left or as a striker' He should have said.
  4. Because you’ve just been paid? You might have other priorities on July payday, I.e holidays etc.
  5. How was I defending him? Glad he’s gone - should have gone in 20/21 during/after that shite season (even he thought he should’ve been out judging by his interviews, the fact he didn’t goes back to those errant owners not giving a feck again I was just adding a bit of balance after a completely nutty lack of proportion yesterday (unless saying he’s not as bad as Ke*n and believing you aren’t a cunt for being paid is defending someone). But yes a rare bit of brfcs harmony, he’s gone, we’re glad, long live GB/JDT.
  6. That’s capitalism, baby.
  7. A contract is a contract whatever your job. He was offered it, he signed it, he was remunerated as per its terms. That doesn’t make him a ****. He’s a football manager under contract as a football manager, why would he go down t’pit? That being said, fans are entitled to expect the best for their club. So him being bang average and the fact he was a miserable twat that talked a load of shite half the time makes him a **** in folks’ eyes, then fair enough (though for me I’m just happy it ran it’s course and we upgraded, he’s really not worth getting so wound up about).
  8. Of course the members aren’t entitled to get in the face of players.
  9. Him getting paid as per the terms of his contract doesn’t make him a **** though, does it? He was entitled to it just like every other contracted person in employment. It’s stuff like that just make some folk on here look completely irrational.
  10. ‘Tribal football crowds’ aren’t a new phenomenon in Test cricket. ‘The Hollies’ and the ‘Western Terrace’ for example have been raucous for donkeys years - Sky love going on about them.
  11. Don’t get that. He was given a contract until 2022, he left in 2022. He was remunerated under the terms of said contract. Why does that make him a ****? If he was shite, doing a crap job, phoning it in etc etc. he should’ve been sacked - point your fingers at our errant owners.
  12. A comparison with Kean is ridiculous and an example of how certain posters have lost the plot when it comes to him.
  13. Supply and demand, there’s only about 3k match day tickets available there.
  14. Almost as bad as Kean? Yes totally bizarre and out of proportion.
  15. Ridiculous. Truly bizarre how much he triggers some of you.
  16. We obviously aren’t going to agree. I think he was a professional doing his best. In the end his best didn’t get us anywhere, but because we have owners that were merely happy for him to see out his contract he went on too long and it got stale. He left, we’ve had an upgrade, we’ve moved on. I just don’t understand the vitriol such a plodder gets on here (only on here), it’s completely out of proportion for a steady eddie like TM.
  17. Good bloke, totally wrong appointment. Still had parachutes, plenty of good players. Our last, best chance to get out the division, so they give the gig to a fella that had only coached in youth football.
  18. Talking generally, I’ve been here far too long to get offended by anyone on this this place. Only a game and all that. 🙂
  19. Why wouldn’t he do his best? He was happy to lose? Didn’t look like it in interviews. His best just wasn’t good enough. There’s enough to go at TM over without coming out with that kind of stuff, just daft.
  20. Me neither. But that is due to having owners letting the club stagnate for a decade. Appointing plodding managers and letting them carry on and on is a symptom of that. *It’s called having a discussion, UD, I disagreed with you, if that’s ‘nitpicking’, fair enough - you struggle to do it without flying off the handle and/or getting personal.
  21. So it was simply a complete disaster then? Fair enough if you think that a club with an average budget does averagely is a complete disaster. We didn’t just avoid anything under TM, that was kind of how his plodding tenure went.
  22. We didn’t just avoid complete disaster then, did we? We were just bumbling along going nowhere in particular with an average/poor (take your choice) manager.
